  1. bought my daughter one its ok very very light, sounds ok to me no issues with it at all
i dont like to play it though since she put pink strings on it and a fluffy pink strap and takes a photo of me everytime i pick it up then posts it on facebook

  2. should be ok with a cheap router with a good sharp bit as said titman are great dont be fooled by the marketing of some manufacturers like trend and dont rush into machining your body make a few jigs and run off off some scrap before going for the money shot (cheap cutters will be naff after running a few trial and error bodies) and get plenty of sand paper :P
if you get the copy wheel with the bearing near the collet you can use the same cutter for pick ups etc and save a few quid there only a fiver ish to have sharpened

  3. watched a tv show about chas and dave the other night and daves bass had some serious wear but i think he spent most of his 40 years on the road with it so its to be expected i guess, i had a hole apearing in my sr505 just below the g string where i kept catching the grain of the wood with my nail popping notes but all my other bases are in good nick and i hope they stay that way
as for road worn it reminds me of that horrible pop band bros ripping holes in their jeans becauuse at the time some thought it looked cool >.<

  4. savings account linked to main account monthly transfer you cant spend the money unless you log in or phone up to transfer it back :) works for me once the monies out of my current account i dont spend it

Edit no idea of any that do layaway most offer 0% credit for short term with that theres a legal contract involved so neither party should lose out

  5. thinking of sticking one of the above on my ray 35 but in need of some facts first.
the fretboard looks plastic is it ? does it feel ok to play on ?
does the back of the neck get sticky ?
and what difference in the sound ?
and are they easy to fit ?

  6. the two guys in the shop on saturday switched the lights on for me said to let them know if i wanted to try anything seemed open to me :) but who knows what management had in store

Edit wifey just told me she was given the impression that the basses were to be sold off and not restocked because they dont sell ... especialy when you have to climb over disco lights to see them

Just found out they have officially ceased trading. It never looked good at that silly warehouse full of disco equipment next to IKEA. It was a far cry from the Essex place. What a shame; I liked the guy who ran it.

they have ? i popped in there this saturday just gone, wasnt much to look at maybe 25 basses most of which had disco lights stacked in front of them but they seemed to be trading although i feel guitars werent really their thing
