1. Head SOLD.... 18 inch cab polished and ready to go...
2. LOL - Actually I should have been clearer....I'm on business on the train, so I can carry the head, but the cab would be beyond the call of duty... I'd probably have to buy an extra ticket for it

4. And Bump... travelling up to Manchester on Tuesday (22nd Nov) this week, so if there's a deal and delivery to be done, then this is a good time
5. I built one of these myself and was delighted with the weight, the clarity and the volume from a relatively small cab. fiendishly clever design from Mr Fitzmaurice! Great value for the money - good luck with the sale.
6. It is back-lit green yes - looks great on a dark stage. I believe this series was just prior to the SMX which signalled change over to Gibson ownership, although I'm sure there are Trace specialists here who know much better than I do. It has the dual compressor built in, which is an impressive bit of kit. I've been through several pedals before I found one near as good as this.
7. It's a week later... with no firm offers so now I'm wondering 1. If these aren't reasonable prices? If you like what you see let me know what you think they're worth.... 2. If Trace Elliot gear is too out of fashion to shift? 3. Or if the market is just so bad that nothing's moving?? Willl
8. The band I play in, a rock covers band, has a set of old lights which create lots of heat but do 'add a little oomph' as you say. We have a sound guy who joins us for larger gigs and in addition to the PA he brings a set of LED lights which are superb - lighter, cooler, and I would say brighter than our tired old dusty ones (much like the band members). I don't know the specific model, and I'm not familiar with the KAMs you link to but in principle they're good.
9. Sunday night... being encouraged to 'Get them out of the house' ... Bump
10. [s]I[/s]'ve had this Trace Elliot gear as a backup to a backup rig in case my GK and Genz Benz gear had any problems.... so it's not had any use for 18 months and is taking up space which has to be freed up for other toys. Used regularly to gig for a while before changing direction on tone - great sound, huge sound for the Watts and for the ££. I'm based in Buckinghamshire, and can help out with transport within a sensible radius, for petrol money. I'll consider offers. Price drop.... [s]£295 [/s] [s]£280[/s] SOLD Trace Elliot AH300-12 300w Head GP12 Green carpet covered missing one slider cover, otherwise mint [s]£30[/s] [s]£27.50 [/s]SOLD Trace Elliot 5-Way Foot switch [s]£180[/s] £165 Trace Elliot 1818t Cab 18 Inch 300w 8ohm Tolex covered. Complete with dust slip cover Monster sound - reasonably good full range on its own, but adds massive bottom end below a 4x10. 11. It arrived.... great sounds. Playing with the PC app that comes wit it to work out a best set up...
12. Looking forward to receiving this sometime very soon Alex.
13. Alex....???
Sold pending.
14. Is this bass being used structurally... In photo 5 it appears it's doubling (see what I did there) as an acro jack?
15. Biffy Clyro - Only Revolutions After resisting for a few weeks due to it being middle-of-the-road-american-sounding-easy-listening-rock, and its been constantly played around the house, I've grown to really quite enjoy... not sure if that means I'm slipping into the afore mentioned middle-zone or whether it is actually a good album... time will tell
16. Two different rigs, two different methods. Both have their own sounds. Trace Elliot is all about setting the pre-amp, based on output from the bass with the help of three lights - More Gain / Thumbs Up / Less Gain, the Master stays low(ish) And more recently for me - a GK RB1001, which is set up as discussed previously. The disadvantage of the TE method, is that it's tough to crank the volume on the bass mid gig without upsetting the pre-amp loading. The GK appears to be less bothered by lower input levels, although in truth I've only played a Modulus and a Stingray through it neither of which are shy of output signal. Will
17. I have been gigging with a pair of Warwick 411 Pro cabs for four years or so, they've been solidly good, bar a pair of drivers failing in one of them early on. More recently I've now lost a second pair of drivers in the other cab. With this second failure I felt rather less inclined and keen to keep buying and replacing drivers. When I found that the replacement / spares are still available (part number XA CN 90535) from Warwick but now run to £109 each... so the cab is essentially beyond economic repair. The head I have been using with them is a Trace Elliot AH300-12 delivering 300W into 4ohms, and the cabs are 8 ohms and rated as 600W, so plenty of headroom. Occasionally I've paired one of the Warwicks with a 300W 18" Trace cab which is also 8ohm. Bit puzzled on what the cause could be. I've metered the speakers and they're open circuit, but otherwise feel fine - the cones move freely. Now using a new (to me) Gallien-Krueger rig so no urgency to get it fixed or moved on, but now considering options for the TE / Warwick set up. Any constructive ideas welcome. Cheers Will
18. I bought one of these about 2 years ago. It's pressed into service each gig and I've always found it good and reliable, no drop outs, good battery life, in fact everything you might expect of a wireless setup. Can't say I notice any particular tone difference between this and cable connection.... And most importantly it saves that embarrassing moment as you get your feet tangled in your lead. Good luck with the sale... It'll be a great purchase for someone.
19. I have a similar experience from time to time, and you're right it's the simplest mind numbing tracks which have the highest potential for blond moments. A parallel is kicking off a track in the wrong key.... I did it with seven nation army recently ... our guitarist has on I Predict a Riot (not at the same gig thank goodness). As long as you're not taking yourselves too seriously, then I like to think (I hide behind the assertion that) a mistake or two adds to the live experience Willl
