1. Hi guys, not really sure which forum to stick this in but as it didn't really seem to fit anywhere else it's gone here... I was just wondering if anyone has any experience of shipping Basses from the UK to Europe (specifically Belgium in this case). There's a few possibilities I've found via a quick Google search, but I was just interested to see if anyone has had a particularly good/bad experience with a company, or can recommend a good safe one. Doesn't need to be lightening quick - just get it there safely! Cheers is advance....
2. Hi, have just measured and the string spacing at the bridge is between 18 and 19mm, though each bridge saddle can be adjusted sideways by a couple of mm (you can just about see in pic 3), so you can increase/decrease this slightly.
3. Thanks for the info on the date Jon, all I could find was info stating the first 2 digits of the serial no. were year of manufacture, and I was pretty sure it wasn't made in '41!
4. I'm afraid not, sorry. The only reason for selling is financial unfortunately.....
5.
Looks familiar
Yes, I bought it from a fellow TB'er - it was a luxury I couldn't really afford at the time but it was such a beautiful instrument I couldn't let it go. Unfortunately I've just been made redundant so it's now a luxury I really can't justify! I'll be gutted to part with it.
6. I've been reluctanly forced to have a clear out of a couple of basses, so for sale is an Ibanez SR800 in beautiful metallic green finish with matching neck and headstock - the photos really don't do the finish justice! As far as I can determine it's an early 90's model, serial no is F417691, made in Japan. The body is Alder, with a three piece maple neck and a rosewood board. It's extremely light and with a slim neck, making it an incredibly easy and comfortable bass to play. It was professionally de-fretted by The Bass Gallery in London resulting in a lined board for ease of playing. It's a P/J configuration with active electronics and 3 band eq, with master volume, pick up selection, stacked bass cut/boost and treble cut/boost and stacked mid cut/boost and mid frequency selection controls that give it a fantastic range of tones. Comes fitted with a Hipshot drop-D tuner (original tuner will also be supplied). There's a few dings in the finish - on the end of the headstock, and a couple on the edge of the bass - one near the jack socket strap button and one on the top edge, but these aren't visible when playing. There was also a crack along the side of the top horn, but this was professionally repaired by the Bass Gallery and is as good as new (see photos). Comes complete with a Ritter padded gig bag, sale price is £200 - an inexpensive way to try fretless playing with a great looking and sounding bass. You can contact me via PM, email at [email protected] or on 07989 608438. Cheers, Dave
7. Reluctantly having to sell this beautiful Sei 5 string Jazz bass. It has a swamp ash body with amboina burl top and matching headstock face, rosewood board and heavily flamed maple neck. The bass is in fantastic condition with just a few marks and tiny impressions in the finish on the back, and one tiny mark on the edge of the headstock. Electronics are Bart 3 band (9v) and the pickups are Wizard custom wounds - the sound is very modern but versatile and slightly compressed (really high quality and hifi as you'd expect). This is an excellent example of Martin's work and the whole bass just exudes boutique quality. As far as I know, the bass is around 6 years old. The bass has recently been setup, and plays beautifully with a very low action - extremely comfortable to play. It comes with an 'as new' Fodera hard case. Really don't want to have to sell this instrument, but current economic circumstances mean I need to let one or two go unfortunately. Sale price is £1100 firm. You can contact me via PM, email at [email protected] or by phone on 07989 608438. Thanks, Dave

9. Hi guys, new member here. My current rig is a Mark Bass LMII into an Accugroove Tri 112L, and is pretty close to the perfect rig for me. I've recently had surgery on a slipped disc so weight is an extremely important factor for me, but not compromising on sound. This rig pretty much covers all situations I've needed to cover - pubs, clubs, theatres etc, except for the few occasions where we're in medium sized venues with no in house PA support, where I could maybe do with a little more. I'm looking to add an Accugroove Tri 115L, which i think would pretty much be it for me in terms of rigs anyway... I tried a 115 in the Bass Gallery when I bought the 112, about 18 months ago, but for the single cab option I went with the 112. Anyway, long story short, the price on the Gallery's website states £805 for the Tri 115, which is a hefty whack, but worth it IMO but on phoning them up I was told it was going to be £1175. Now that's a big increase and hard to justify I think when they are going in the US for $1039, which even by todays exchange rate is only £709. Does anyone know of any other Accugroove stockists/dealers in the UK? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Axel
