  1. That is what I am led to believe, will let you know...
  2. I am in Hereford, and yes I would post at cost to UK mainland no problem.. ..and yes they are truly amazing!
  3. Andertons are the main distributor, contacted them, very helpful. Any part of the pre amp broken means full replacement preamp. £50 and a few weeks wait
  4. Brilliant practice amp, super compact, fantastic tone even with a 5 string! 50w In great condition complete with custom roqsolid cover. http://www.markbass.it/product-detail/micromark/
  5. One of the dual pots (not the volume one) has broken on my 5 string V7, is it possible to get a replacement or do I need to get a complete control plate, and if I do, where is the best source? Cheers in advance!
  6. Hi Guys, An italian made LMK (Little Mark King) twin channel amp head, recently serviced by Real Electronics and in full working order. Not pristine, but in good working order. A very useful amp offering two independant channels, like having two LM2's in one box! http://www.markbass.it/product-detail/lmk/ I also may have the rack ears I could throw in the deal too. Price above includes mainland UK delivery.
  7. Bought recently and used in a US Jazz I have, brilliant piece of kit. Can't get on with Jazzes and moving it on sop this is now surplus to requirements. This is the one with the black knobs on which looks really cool. Price includes delivery to mainland Uk
  8. Just bought a beautiful Thumb of Marco that he had refurbished. His communication was superb including sending me a video tour of the instrument! I am always wary of getting instruments overseas but would happily deal with Marco again as the transaction was seamless. Top guy to deal with!
  9. Hi All, Bought this a few months back from Bass Direct as a backup, in pristine condition with brand new gig bag. Never needed to use it. Can post pics later if there is interest but you all know what these little beauties are all about. £195 including postage to mainland UK
  10. Apparently John not involved so much now.
  11. tried that, they didn't bother to answer emails.
  12. Yes the black on chrome works really well.
  13. https://www.east-uk.com/index.php/all-products/j-tone101.html So easy to fix, no soldering, no routing straight swap out. I went for the Vol/Blend because it is more intuitive for me but you can go for the Vol/Vol option which I guess is closer to standard. Thoroughly recommend!
  14. Did a deal recently with a great friend of mine to acquire this interesting bass. It is a Jaydee Celeste Supernatural 5, apparently only ten of these were ever made and one was for Geezer Butler as rumour has it! It has a gorgeous neck, beautiful body (which is a tad heavy). It is in great shape but at some point in it's life the pickups and electrics were removed and replaced with EMG pickups and pre-amp, which actually sound great. I am looking for some pickup surrounds or pickups which would fit better in the holes if anyone has any suggestions?
  15. So, I acquired a lovely year 2000 US Fender Jazz recently. Took it to a gig with my Stingray and realised that whilst it was a beautiful instrument I am geared up for active basses and found it limp in comparison with my rock covers band. I put it up for sale initially but then did some research on onboard pre-amps and came to the conclusion that the new J-Tone by John East was the way to go. I have had John's kit before and it is beautifully designed and put together. It took minutes too install and has totally transformed the instrument. It is a straight drop in, no routing and no soldering. It has a push/pull pot which switches neatly between passive and active and the pot is also the passive tone control too, simple, clean and effective. The next pot is double stacked bass and treble in active mode and the remaining double stacked pot is volume and blend (this is also available with Vol/Vol too). It is still definitely a jazz and has all the right characteristics but it is now very much enhanced without losing any of the classic tones. This unit has made this instrument eminently usable for me and I will be gigging it tomorrow night with a big smile on my face!
  16. Hi All, A reliable old backup bass that has never let me down, an early rockbass Corvette, the colour is now a vintage cream white in patina and is punchy as ever. Plays well, sounds great, is active and has a very usable EQ, everything works as it should. Year 2007 I believe.
  17. Hi Guys, Got this very recently in a trade with Ted from this very forum, lovely chap! I have cleaned and set up the bass to my liking and put a lovely fresh set of Rotosounds on it. It plays really nicely and is in great shape for a 2000 US Fender. It has a few little dings but nothing serious at all. (see pics) It comes complete with original hard case and truss tool, case also in great shape. Bass all original apart from the scratch plate which was replaced with a nice pearloid one. It is a fine looking bass that sounds and plays exactly as a Jazz should. My problem is I am too used to active basses and struggle with passive instruments and would rather move this on to someone who will enjoy it. I have priced it very sensibly for a pukka American Fender in this condition. Would be interested in trades for G&L's (5 string) and Ray's. (5 string) (Trade price closer £750) with cash adjustments either way.
  18. Good advice. Also I noticed that the one battery connector is very tight and there isn't any play in the length of wires so you have to push battery in and push against connector to fit it. Is this just mine or is this normal?
  19. So, I just acquired one of these because I was curious about all the hype and wanted to see what all the fuss was about. First impressions are that I am very impressed, the tone is really, really good, the fit and finish is far better than a bass of this price range has a right to be and as a gigging instrument it is a no brainer. Only changes I would make at first glance would be the tuners and the bridge. Has anyone else on here done any upgrades on these?
  20. Hi guys, got this beauty recently in a trade and it is a truly beautiful instrument to play, but it is a four stringer and I find that I still prefer 5's. Sunburst Fender Jazz Bass made in USA 2005 Has the S1 switch which allows the pickups to operate in standard parallel , or in series wiring when the switch is pressed Tort and Black pickguard In full working order Fretted Has a few scratches, dings etc which have been photographed in the pictures (this is reflected in price) Has been set up and now sports a fresh set of Fender flats comes with the official hard shell case Happy to post to mainland UK at buyers expense (guessing circa £25) I have shown the sellers pics and now my own after a clean and set up and new tort pickguard. Priced to sell, this although with a few dings and marks is a lovely example of a full blown american Fender Jazz, just one string to few!
