  1. That’s some nice purple on that one!
  2. I made the decision to just Velcro the muff to the board. I wasn’t thrilled to do it and tried to do it as neatly as possible, but paint came off the pedal when I took it to practice in a literal silk bag. I figure it’s safer in a penguin huddle of pedals around it in a static position. I also bought it to play it! thanks for all the advice though!
  3. Finally rebuilt the board in a way I’m happy with (for now). It’s used for both bass and guitar so I had to think about pedals that sound great for either.
  4. If I figure out a mounting solution it's going to be a very small board as well. At worst, its a good counterweight to the guitarist's ego on the other side of the stage.
  5. Will do, the one I have is not dissimilar to the one you had in terms of condition. Feet and door. I’ll have a look at your recommendations. I’ve been through a lot of the muff variants over the years (pun NOT intended). I like the Ram’s Head reissue fuzz, different sound but sounds great. The Valco KGB sounds worth a shot, I’ll have a look at that. Thanks!
  6. Great advice! I’ll have a look at doing something like this, hopefully won’t lose much paint in the process. They are surprisingly fragile for something so heavy. Nothing I’ve tried sounds like it though!
  7. It’s the ridged box with the plastic battery door and the 4 screws.
  8. It’s a great ideal but this pedal doesn’t have screws in the base. It’s a right awkward box. Thanks for the suggestion though!
  9. Hello Team, I was wondering if anyone had a bright idea to attach an EHX Green Russian Big Muff V7 (The big old russian boy) to a pedalboard. I was lucky enough to get it without too much paint damage and feel like velcro would rip chunks out the paint, especially as I need to get under it to change the battery every so often. Cable ties would cause similar damage and mounting plates aren't great because the screws are on the front and back side respectively. Any advice appreciated!
  10. My Fender Adam Clayton Jazz bass is one I love and use regularly. His name on the back of the headstock had no bearing on the purchase but with a couple of modifications (stacked knobs, d-tuner, pick guard) I’ve got a 60s Jazz bass with a very comfy neck shape.
  11. Thank you for the info, it’s the first bass I’ve had with fanned frets so I just wanted to make potential buyers aware. Much appreciated!
  12. I switched a couple of years ago to mainly using short scales due to shoulder/elbow issues. I find my Musicman Stingray Short Scale to have all the sounds I want and it really helps me enjoy playing for around twice as long as my full scale jazz bass.
  13. Hi everyone! Just to let you all know the surgery seems to have been successful and I’m home now. Thank you for all the kind words, definitely why it’s my favorite community online!
  14. I would've liked more notice too, I got a call late last night because there was a cancellation. It wasn't meant to happen for at least another two months! Thanks everyone for the feedback, Nervous times ahead!
  15. So I’m getting surgery in a few days on the nerves in my right arm. Do I just tell the band I’m out for a few months? Or try and play bass lines on a keyboard like an 80s band? Any other suggestions for how to feel musical for the next month or two?
  16. Hello, it’s on hold at the moment, with a bit of a queue, but if it all falls through I’ll send you a message. Thanks!
  17. Hello! I’ve got my lovely Dingwall NG3 5 String that I’m contemplating parting with. It’s so lovely and great to play, but it simply lives in its case at the moment and I hate having basses I just don’t use. In great condition, no dings, just a few light play marks and a little wear on the frets of the low B around 5-7th fret. Doesn’t affect play or sound and just needs a polish and crown. Can possibly include the Dingwall Branded Hard Case depending on what’s on offer. Open to possible trades, let me know what you have, I like short scales and 4 strings at the moment. I’ll update this with the correct weight later on but it’s very light for a 5 string.
  18. Hello Everyone, finally biting the bullet and beginning to clear out pedals that aren’t making the cut to weekly practice. Prices assume PayPal F&F, postage at cost. Plenty more to come! £SOLD - 3Leaf Audio Wonderlove Deluxe Envelope Filter. Im putting it up at the price I part traded it for, I love it, but I need space on the board and that’s the only reason I’m keeping the Proton over it. boxed and velcroed, good condition with a few tiny areas of bubbling to the paint due to a reaction to a pen (I think). £120 - ZVeX Box of Metal, Handpainted edition, sounds great on bass but for some reason the 60s tribute band aren’t feeling it… Good condition with a little damage to the paint around the corners but works perfectly. No box though. £100 - Keeley PSI Fuzz - Good condition, couple of tiny marks on the paint. A lovely smooth sounding fuzz. No box and velcroed. SOLD ELSEWHERE £60 - Boss RC1 Loop Station Boxed in great condition. No Velcro. Never got the hang of looping. SOLD ELSEWHERE £60 - Boss BD-2 Blues Driver. Boxed in fantastic condition, no Velcro. Classic Boss Pedal. Sounds better on guitar to my ear though. £60 - Boss ST-2 Power Stack. Boxed in great condition, previous owner lost the label when they took the Velcro off. It’s in the box but there’s no serial sticker left. £80 - Ernie Ball Expression Overdrive. Shiny gold overdrive. No box and with a few scuffs. Sounds great though and is good fun. £50 - TC Electronics Flashback Mini. Great wee delay in fantastic condition. No box or Velcro. SOLD £320 - HX Stomp in excellent condition, Velcro on the back, I can’t see any marks or damage on the unit, the box is in good condition but not unmarked. Works perfectly and has power plug and pc cable. thanks if you managed to get this far!
  19. The board has been significantly downsized since the last rehearsal, since this band is a 60s style one and apparently my 3 fuzzes weren’t needed… My HX Stomp lost the battle for space with the Collision Devices, so once I stop being lazy I need to put stuff up for sale. Does anyone else feel like selling pedals is losing the game somehow? (Edit, I’ve just realized I have 3 space related pedals in a row).
  20. I’m really reassured that I’m not the only one that feels like I’m missing something here. I adore pedals and have far too many, but this one feels a little “emperors new clothes” to me. Just my opinion.
  21. If only my playing was as tight as my pedalboard 🤣
  22. I’m telling myself this is the set up for while but I give it until next payday before I decide something needs to change…
  23. I picked up a Poly Blue Octave recently and I've grown very fond of it very quickly. It's managed to boot my MXR Phase 90 EVH off the board immediately and it's doing it's best to help me make room with the octave and fuzz options. I build a wee tap switch since it lets you turn the fuzz on and off with a single tap and the modulation on and off with a double tap, literally the only negative I have with it is that there is a slight delay when hitting the tap switch (not an issue for me but may be for some)
  24. I was so hesitant to spend good pedal money on an expensive power supply, but the Cioks is totally worth it. I’ve got the DC7 and I’m delighted with it. I tried the Fender Engine Room and it wasn’t nearly as good.
