Fully agree, my white Spector Mike Starr with the Haz 9V is also the only bass (not only Spector) that is safe from me selling it. What a killer bass 😍

Cool looking and sounding bass (Neck-thru body, ebony fingerboard, DiMarzio Double Split P pickups) and it is RED 🤩
Very tempted to get one now!

I am also looking for two original knobs for my BB1200.
The closest I've found are these. Not exactly the same but quite close (and not too expensive):
These are also ok, but a bit too tall for my taste:

Lovely. Think these were a 2016 limited edition.
I think you are right. This is the 2016 PDN limited edition. The beautiful roasted bird's eye maple neck and the unmarked ebony fingerboard give it away.
Stunning looking bass and so tempting 🤩
GLWTS 👍

You should get a really long strap; it's well known they increase the metallicness (metallicity?) of the bass.
Preferably a metal strap (and a Spector bass, of course) 😁

Get ready everyone, this weeks newsletter says they hope to have the new site live this week.
Sweepstake time?
However, it also said: "but there will still be lots of work to do refining the site so please bear with us over the next few months".
So, let's see.

So back in the Spector club..took the plunge on this of reverb ..has no serial no which is strange..doesn’t look like an after market respray..
sounds and feels like a spector
34” scale so research tells me it’s and old Czech..set up was pretty poor and the paint is lifting around the headstock ..but for £500.00 I think it’s a bargain..
Congrats! A black Spector with gold hardware - cannot get more classic than that.
Yes, 34'' scale for a 5 string, dot inlays and the SSD logo probably all mean that it is a NS-5CR, built sometime between 93 and 99. They have their serial numbers inside the control cavity but sometimes they don't have any at all. Definitely a great bargain. Enjoy 👍

Go away BBVIII, you're drunk...
I think the Japanese sellers who listed the bass on the bay were drunk as it says "Yamaha BB-XIII" 🙂

Wow, what a beauty. A MIA Fender P in great condition for a bit more than £800? Great value for money, esp. if you consider what MIJ Fender P's go for (I can see that several are currently selling for £849)!
GLWTS 👍

New Spector NS Dimension & NS Ethos 'High-Performance' series basses
in Bass Guitars
Posted
I agree. The purple one looks killer. The EMG/DG combo sounds really good too. I had the same combo in my Ras Layer signature bass. Really liked it (I only sold the bass as I did not like the chunky neck).
However, I am not sure about the name - HP (High Performance). Is it really performing higher than the previous Aguilar and Fishman Fluence preamp/preamp combos?
Further, they could have just called them Ethos II and Dimension II (like they did for the Pulse) as the name HP reminds me of a tech company and these two guys 😉
