4.
Of the 3 you're considering I'd go for the Vintage V940 without any hesitation. You might also consider the Vintage V4 Precision copy - http://www.jhs.co.uk/vintagebass.html
i can vouch for the v940 as well... its very good for the money
5. i would like to second this with my purchase from him yesterday - top guy!
6. stringsdirect.co.uk has them: http://www.stringsdirect.co.uk/products/18...blue_steel_bass
7. one of my strings just broke this morning... after 19 months - i dont change mine until they break (like james jamerson!) i dont know how you can afford to change strings so often...
8.
they do or used to do a cracking active fretless with a nice mahogany bod, think the model was a vb someting or other, EDIT: now i remember it was a actually a bubinga body
its the vintage V940/950 series... i've got the fretted 4 string version. i really like it. The body is small in comparison to most basses but i really like the neck and the hardware hasnt broken after several years use...
9. To resurrect this thread, does anyone own one of these amps or have any opinions about them? On the surface of it, they sound good value for the money but a lack of specs does sound alarm bells Guitar and bass magazine (I think) give it an award as one of the best budget amps of the year… should i read into this too much???
