Based in Scotland, just outside Glasgow. May locate a workshop to have a professional look 👍

So would buying one of these resolve the issue? https://www.stewmac.com/tonewoods/shop-tonewood-by-instrument/electric-bass-bodies-and-necks-and-wood/bass-necks/stewmac-neck-shims-for-bass/?&pref_currency=GBP&shipcalc=UK&mtm_source=google&mtm_medium=cpc&mtm_campaign=|+GOO+|+SHOP+|+BR+|+BrandUK&gad=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwsKqoBhBPEiwALrrqiAqKlPZ9WYVmaU-_-ya0RvNVcWNtVm4G5gwg0600zb8qRWuiAnUarxoCfEMQAvD_BwE
How does this happen on a new bass? Never came across this issue before
-
I know it's very hard to see from the photos, but the strings on my newly equired bass are sitting VERY high from the fretboard.
The bridge saddles are set as low as they can go so I'm assuming it's a truss rod issue. If it helps, I would say the neck is sitting at a more forward angle (if that makes sense?)
I have limited knowledge on set ups, but before sending to a shop, I'm wondering if there is an easier option to correct it myself? I'm always very nervous about truss rod adjustments

I ordered from thomann and got one of the early ones. Absolute mess😆 guess it's your luck which one they send out.

I'm interested in the price of the new 2023 range. Yes, improvements have been made (minimal as far as I can see) but if they come in at £800+ forget about it 😆
-
Dub_junkie is it a 2023 model you have ordered or is it one of the heavily reduced old stock? Mine arrived with a broken nut, no set up, sharp fret edges, and problems with the eq. What a delight!
-
Honestly, the new versions have to be really good as the market is full of mid priced jazz basses that are way better!!!!

For the price point I have honestly never seen such bad quality control. Pickguard is not even flush with the control plate.
Very disappointed but optimistic the new versions will be a big improvement
-
As they are currently heavily discounted I decided to pick one of these up. What a mistake!!
Even it £400+ the quality is shocking! Sharp fret edges, nut broken, and arrived with no set up.
Still amazed these basses made it to market with such little QC.
It's going straight back and I will wait for the reviews of the new line.
What's your experiences?

Looking for recommendations of someone who can re-finish a bass (silver sparkle)
Looking for somewhere cost effective with good results

Anyone know where I could get hold of a schecter model t pickguard in White?

Picked up a sunburst one last week, stuck in an EMG pickup and high mass bridge. Honestly, for the money it's a great bass and the neck is very fast to play. Radius is listed as 9.5 but feels like a 12.

Where sells telecaster bass bodies in sunburst for a reasonable price? I was going to buy a mike dirnt Sig bass and replace the neck but probably just cheaper buying the body.
-
Hopefully some more finishes on offer

Any ideas where I could get hold of a fender precision bass control plate in chrome?
-
Has anyone replaced the bridge on their vintage VJ74? If so, what bridge fits as a direct replacement?
-
They could reissue with modern enhancements? Kinda like the hook BB Reissue. Honestly, the BB3000 was the nicest bass they ever released

Really? I did not know that. As usual Japan gets all the good stuff. Never seen a 2010 reissue. Away to look it up.

Open to offers or firm on price?

Does anyone know if a standard fender telecaster bass pickguard fits a standard p bass?
Just a Nut issue

As you can see at it's lowest setting, the Warwick Just a Nut sits very high! Is this correct?
