Totally agree, Yamaha could offer so much more. Never understood why the BB range is so limited to boring vanilla finishes. I remember some years ago they done a BB with a MM pickup and it sounded incredible.

Thomann do offer a set up/check service at an additional cost. May be worth it to avoid that hassle of returning.

Yes, very good deals at thomann, but I would request they check the bass before shipping. I ended up with one that had to be sent back. Think I was very unlucky. Still on the fence about reordering.

Still for sale or gone? Seriously tempted by this. Is the neck radius quite flat? My preferred type of neck
-
Very much on the fence if these upgrades justify the price tag.

That's a terrible set-up from a customer perspective
-
That would look ace with a chrome control plate! Wonder if this is something that could be purchased separately?
-
Do you think the AliExpress pickguards would fit a sadowsky metroexpress or are they sized for a fender jazz?
-
-
I picked up one last month (one of the older sunburst models) and it's a great bass with a very rich sound, however, it's not the lightest of basses so I may move on in the coming months

Sadowsky metroexpress, the first run, and the worst!
-
Just in the process of getting a standard nut and shaving it to fit. Sadly there are not nuts available to fit a sadowsky and gone right off the idea of buying a Warwick just a nut.
-
I have ripped out the nut and now looking for a standard replacement nut
-
Yep, this is the lowest setting it can go.
-
After feedback on this site, the Warwick just a nut is the issue as it's not been installed by the factory correctly. The just a nut should sit flush with the bottom piece of the nut which it does not. Hard to explain, but there shouldn't be a gap as seen in the photos.
On a separate note, the strings were loosened to take a closer look at the nut.
-
Apart from the Warwick just a nut is there a standard sized bass nut that would fit a sadowsky jazz ?
-
-
That's the but removed, now to find a standard nut that will fit
-
Glued in. Think I will rip it out and just buy a standard nut. Well, one that will fit.
Honestly, depending on your luck these sadowsky metroexpress basses are a nightmare
-
-
Think I will just locate a standard nut that fits a sadowsky metroexpress bass. No idea why it sits so high?
