I’ve just pulled the trigger on a 4 string PJ for £251 at Thomann - couldn’t resist! Hopefully it’ll arrive tomorrow. If I get on with it, I might mod it with one of Sadowsky’s VTC circuits. Are the kits where you can mod the electronics easy to install or would it be better to pay more and buy the more expensive complete unit? I’m ok with a soldering iron!!

Mines just arrived today, same deal from thomann for the sunburst finish. Just requires a set up, but all good. I plan to strip out the pickups and EQ and replace with EMG

    I’d love a reissue 3000/1600…

    But I doubt that’ll happen.

Yes a BB3000 reissue would be the thing of dreams but I don't think that will be on the cards 😔 It will be interesting to see what Yamaha has planned for 2025

It appears the BB734, and presumably 735, is available in the classic BB red and green.

I still love the coffee burst (genuinely better in the flesh than most promo pics) but that green is rather tasty.

Wonder if the red finish is the same as the Peter Hook model? Looks like it! Would have been nice to see a few other colour options

I've heard some whispers that Yamaha might be bringing out a new range next year.

Very interesting! Where did you hear this? I for one would like to see the return of the bigger body BB basses 🔥

    I'm currently on the lookout for a BB424x or 1204x 👍

  5. Has anyone tried the latest run of sadowsky metro express basses? Worth the cost at £899? Similar to the previous run, they seem to be generating very little online interest, although I am seriously tempted to give them another shot. Wouldn't be surprised if they are heavily discounted in the coming months.

  6. As previously mentioned, when the bass is officially announced and specs shared, I think Spector could be on to a winner. I much prefer this headstock compared to the Coda, but the big question will be the price point. From a previous post, this is a prototype bass so no doubt some elements will change, although I don't think they need to 😉

  7. Sadly like a lot of recent Spector models, I think the pricing will come in at £2000+ .Prove me wrong Spector! All his previous sig models (There have been quite a few) all came in for under a grand (Fender, Charvel, ESP)
