Yep, a complete stereo system (cd player with GPS, tons of speakers, subwoofer and even a back camera plate) for my Opel Frontera something like 7 years ago. Never opened the boxes and still have everything bar the Frontera. 🤣
At least you got rid of the right bit, the Frontera😂

Many many years ago, I purchased the new Zoom 10/44 digital recorder. Cost me around £600 from memory. It still has the one track I recorded on it, a mate with an acoustic singing Folsam prison blues for his Mum. Never even got past the intro of the manual. Advertised it a couple of months ago on Face book for 60€ didn't get one reply.
I imagine we've all got something like this in a box somewhere.

The speeches will be over at 9pm sharp and then you're on.
We're expecting over 1,000 people.
Just start, I can sing it in any key.
Can my mate do a number? He's really really good.

Sorry, from the title, I assumed this thread would be about our lead guitarist.

There's a great video on You tube with Matt Bissonette playing this live with Boz. Really nails the bass line and it's very easy to hear what he's doing.

I was there (in a support band) when Genesis played Graves End civic centre to promote their single I know what I like. Phil Collins bought me a lager and lime.
I was there for the first ever gig by Peace. The band that Paul Rogers formed after Free, and before Bad Company. They lasted about 2 weeks.
I was there when Iron Maiden played the Plough and Harrow in Leytonstone for £35
I was there when Mark Bolan said "erm, no, not him" after playing my second number at my audition as drummer for T. Rex. Lucky now I look back, he might have offered me a lift home.
I was there at Hollywood studios in East London when we heard a band rehearsing in the next room and peeked under the window privacy blind dividing the two rooms only to see, Paul Young dancing around with his todger out. I have to say, he certainly had nothing to be ashamed of😳
Hollywood studios was owned by the guy who owned Metal Mickey. I was also there when our drummer peed up the robot. Boogie boogie😅

Currently back on a Mark Bass kick with an LM2. Been using a Shuttle 6 for a couple of years with the LM as the back up spare but they've now changed places. Easy to use, no reliability issues and a tone for every occasion although the GB is better for EUB on the odd cocktail gig.

Bought a cab from Richard a little while back. He even delivered it to my brother's house. Top guy, really is.

Bought this cab a little while back from me old mate Richardd but only got it back home yesterday.
I went lightweight a few years back with Mark bass and Genz Benz. All really great stuff but just realised what I'd been missing with this. LM2 running at full power as it's 4 Ohm 700w. What a sound. Bloody heavy, but oh, what a sound.

I have B4SS F on retention. Wife bought it for me after I got an F Bass.
I do have a Fender , but living in France, a UK plate is a no-no.
Anyone called Fred need a private plate?😆

It's patchy. Mostly its only in the urban centres, the rest is a bit of a desert - hey, music is where people are. Norwich in particular has a number of great venues. The Reindeer especially seems to have music almost every night, the Walnut Shades is another, and there a handful of others. The regional standard is quite high. The Dereham Blues Fest features A/B list national acts and lot of pretty good local bands. The same people (Stewart and Doreen Aitkin) are behind the very good Norfolk Blues Society jams at the aforementioned Walnuts Shades. Out in the sticks there's not a lot. An exception is the Burston Crown, which attracts high quality acts from Norwich, Cambridge and even London. Which is odd because its bleeding miles from anywhere. One of the best blues acts in the country, Charlie Harper, plays there if he's in the mood. There is a jazz club of quality in Norwich, and a great funk jam at the Reindeer. I have less knowledge of further west and east. Being stuck behind a tractor may be taken more than one way, as you will find if you take your news from the sometimes quite funny spoof news magazine, the Suffolk Gazette.
Isn't there a blues venue in Norwich called "Murderers"? I heard about it about a year ago.
-
My brother lives just outside Dereham and regularly has a choice of half a dozen gigs to go to.
Norwich seems to be the epicenter though, especially if you're into blues/rock. Dave Thomas (ex Blonde on Blonde) runs (or helps organise) the Fine city blues festival I think and I have a mate who seems to play the Dereham Blues festival every year and it always seems to be packed in most venues.
Might even move there one day. I love Norfolk.

Mostly a question of robustness, I'd say. Electrically, if the inputs/outputs are designed for 'em, I see no issues, but if they're to be plugged/unplugged a lot, the Xlr would be my first choice, followed by jacks, and Rca (phono plugs...) very much last. If they're to be plugged in, then left alone, no problem. There are oodles of hifi systems plugged in like that, which work perfectly well.
Hope this helps.
Thanks, I'll stick with the RCAs then for the moment. There will be no need to unplug them.

Nearly there regarding getting properly started, just waiting for another P.C. to come back after upgrade. Have scored a pair of Mackie HR624 Mk2 monitors. There are different options for connecting the input on these, XLR, 1/4 jack or RCA plug. I have 1/4 jack to RCA cables to use from the Steinberg UR22 to the Mackies, but is there any difference in what type of connection I use? or, is it totally unimportant? I have cables which are 1/4 jack to XLR, 1/4 jack to 1/4 jack and the 1/4 jack to RCA. I've so far chosen the RCA route as the cables are shorter and less of a mess to be honest.

Foregone conclusion.

My first "real" amp one of these.
Incredible clean power with superb tonal possibilities.
Sold mine for £300. This is seriously great value.

Was that the Session 60?
Yes it is. More than enough volume for that sort of gig. Got a great couple of filter features and brilliant for learning stuff to due to the RCA inputs and silent practice features. I'll be using it at the same venue in about three weeks with an EUB if my wrists allow.
Also handles a low B no problem and has an XLR DI out for P.A hook up.
Stuff you bought and never used (but still have it)
