  1. Not sure if this should be here or "Other music stuff" as it's a guitar effects/processor.

Anyway, as above, fully working Line 6 floorboard and V.2.0 Pod, with connecting cable and Line 6 PSU. The ultimate bedroom noodler kit but also well gigable.

Immense fun for not much money. It's old school, but has some fab patches.  I've even managed to tailor a pretty good Eric Johnson patch, unfortunately, I play more like Ulrika.

The floorboards usually go for about £60 in the real world so another £20 for the Pod, cable and PSU seems fair.

Could post at buyer's cost or happy if anyone wants to pop round and try it out.

Price firm, not looking for trades as heading towards retirement.

    Thanks

Ah, I had one of these bad boys. Great wee amp.

Yes, they're great aren't they.  The jazz club in the pic held about 180 and I didn't need to line out to the PA.  It was enough.

Mind you, we weren't doing any Megadeath covers😆

  3. Fully working EBS Session 60 tilt back combo. Last pic shows it being gigged a few months ago. More than up to the job for small venues but a great practice combo too. No problem even with my 5 string EUB

Not looking for any trades as I need to clear out stuff. Pick up from Ashill IP25  in Norfolk. Great condition for age and only one little scuff on one side.

    Welcome to come and try.

    ….and it’s sublime

They've sort of managed to turn a set at the biggest show on Earth into five mates having a jam in a garage but, it  works🤣

To be fair, there's something timeless about Neil Young. He  still sounds just like he always has; shambolic. That's his great strength, though. Long may he continue.

Still instantly recognisable even at nearly 80. Shambolic? Yes, the perfect description. He's come a long way on four chords and an untuned guitar but as you say, despite everything he does, there's something timeless about him ..........and long may he continue.

  6. I had a quick look at the pics on the link (Nedcom.NL)  and now, whenever I close down the web browser, I have the pics on my screen !

I can close the pic, but it re-appears next time I open and close the browser. Any ideas?

  7. TBH, only sticking this up as I fancy NickD's  3.0. version.

This pushes out 375w stand alone and 600w if you add another 8 Ohm cab (or plug the head into a 4 Ohm cab)

Great condition, just a few minor scuffs.

Light, powerful and able to cope with most gigs. Everything works as it should. Comes with thick padded cover. Spare 12AX7 inc.

Pick up preferably from IP25 Ashill but could arrange something else depending on where you are. If Nick's sells, I will probably withdraw mine unless you have a shuttle 3.0 combo.

Welcome to come and try the combo and the coffee.

  8. Had one for ages in France, with the matching ext cab.  Regret moving it on now I'm 73 and arthritic😅

Fabulous sound and so portable. Are you moving up to something meatier? I have the 12" version with the Shuttle 6.0 if you are😉

Ahh look at that, great job in getting it back to full function and playability, as you rightly mentioned, it was waaaay beyond an easily fixupable project and much more in need of advanced skills when I sent it to you!

It is definitely worth the asking price and more, great sounding and great fun to play glwts.

    Thanks Andy.

  10. Bought this a while ago here on BC, I'll admit, very cheaply. This was due to a 3/4" action, three raised frets and a neck that should have had "Fyffes" on the headstock.

I think the seller had, (quite wisely), given up on it. However, I love a challenge, irrespective of the financial viability (quite unwisely) so,

after investing 22 hours of labour plus two visits to a luthier in Fakenham, I now have a fully working, beautifully playing and very nice sounding bass with a low action.

It appears to be a Samick Saturn Artiste in Holoflash finish.  Active/passive electronics P/J config with 9v pre. Anyway, I digress,

    Weight 3.95k (8lbs 12oz)

    Nut 43mm

    Neck @ 24th fret  64mm

String spacing at bridge 16mm   34" scale

A hi mass bridge and a fully working truss rod.

Currently fitted with a new set of DR Dragon skins

No real damage anywhere, just age related scuffs etc.

I bought and repaired / refurbished this as I needed a  pub bass to combat the "My mate Psycho Mickey plays bass, giss it ere"  situation, but as I no longer wish to play in scummy pubs, there's no point in keeping it.

So, if anyone fancies a very reasonably priced bash at 5 string or is a familiar victim to the above situation, come and try it out.

Ideally collection from Ashill Norfolk but happy to pack up and send at your cost and risk as I have a bass carton and tons of bubble-wrap.

The last two pics shows me playing the bass at a Jazz club gig in France last October.

Took this one because I'd heard a couple of stories about Les Douanes Francaises confiscating equipment which turned out to be complete boll***s

Anyway, it was well up to the job. Sounded great.

  11. I've had around six USA Fender basses.

Sold them all and currently don't have one. To me, they do the same thing as every other bass so it's simply down to playability,  weight and if I like the look of it.

If you have an effects processor, any bass can pretty much sound like any other bass.

  12. One band i was in back in the late 90s (in thd UK) used to only really play pubs and clubs. We'd be on at 8.30 or 9.00 usually.

Drummer would be in first, rest of us would turn up 15/20 mins before the start. Set up, tune up silently, no playing other than an odd note to make sure your amp was working. On the dot... 1.2.3.4.... and off we'd go. A quick volume twiddle mid intro and we were rocking for the next two hours.

In France, polar opposite, they all wanted to get to a gig 5 hours early. Drove me mad.  Without meaning to sound condescending, a lot of it is down to experience and familiarity with the venues.

This is very sad news indeed. I remember the terrible time she had with the fire and how this community stepped in with help and support. Her commitment to nursing and also her technical abilities were notable. She was the same age as me so that really hits home. May she rest in peace. 🕊️

She'll be sadly missed. BC member O'BrienP (Pat) gave her a bass after the fire which I helped get down to her in Brighton as she'd lost everything.  She was a lovely and genuine person. Brother bought her sax too so we had quite a bit of contact but always seemed so happy to chat despite the traumas she was going through.

Very sad indeed. RIP Sam. X

  14.

A bitter / sweet gig this one (Chateauroux in France) 18 original compositions from a good friend who's now sadly very limited with regards to time left. 10 pce band and I only know one of them, two days of rehearsal, live recording third day and public concert on the last night. Quite an honour to be asked to provide the low end.

    Fingers crossed I don't mess up🤣

  15. Finally got to meet Nik today when he came and picked up a Roland combo he'd paid for months ago.

Absolute gentleman and a pleasure to deal with. We ran out of time as he had a studio to get to and I had furniture being delivered but I suspect, we probably could have chatted for hours😅

Very easy company and a credit to Basschat.  Thanks Nik.
