I would say however that the body is unlike any Mahogany that I have ever seen...looks like an interesting cut (or two) of Ash to me.
Ash? This does really look like it could be mahogany to me. I see no resemblance to ash.

 14.
Amazing price . This is lot of bass for the money. I have 2 regrets in life and one is def selling my old roscoe ..... Have a bump on me
It truly is. Thank you. I'd love to keep it, but since I don't really need a fretless, I have to let it go.
 15.
Sorry Jens if the term "custom" does not please you, I know just that the bass was sold under this denomination "Fodera Monarch Custom", for info here the link of BassClubParis where the bass was bought : http://www.bassclubp...4-cordes-detail This is really my bass on this announcement. I actually learned about the bass before buying it to know the difference between a standard model and a custom model, the answer was only on custom models, woods are carefully selected, in addition to having the head Inclined, which allows better adjustment of the height of the strings.
You are comparing it to the present Standard model. Read up on the "New Standard"...
 16.
On standard models the head is straight, while on the custom models the head is inclined
On the new Standard models, yes. But this in a "New Standard" (unfortunate naming) and is by definition not a custom. Read up on it or ask the people at Fodera.
 17. So, so nice. Wish I had the funds. Hugues is great to deal with!
 18.
Yes... Top seller
Thanks! Hope you're enjoying your Smith too.
