1. Bump! Trades are welcome. Again, some interest but would prefer a sale or guitar or maybe guitar amp.
 2.
Very nice looking bass mate. I'm surprised you didn't suss it out tho' if my wife ever asked subtle questions about bass design (I wish ) it would definately arouse my suspicions
I think she basically got him to build a bass with all the features I like about my Carvin. Mahogany body/ fancy top, maple/ebony neck, single coil at neck, humbucker at bridge, piezos, 3 band EQ. I'm not complaining...
 3.
Should be fun and useful! Can you email them to prkl0405(at)yahoo.co.uk? Would be very grateful!
Ya no bother. I'll send them within the next hour or that.
 4.
Thanks for the praise! edit: removed stupid rant.
Just remembered Ville, i have various soundclips of various settings on my computer if you're interested in them?
 5.
Uninitiated here, what do the piezos do?
Piezos are basically crystals that produce an electrical signal with a change in pressure. They sit inside the bridge saddles and when you hit the string, they detect the change in pressure and create a signal. I think... Ever hear an acoustic guitar unmiked and amplified? That's probably a piezo pickup.
 6.
Ville this is bad ass.where do you get these amazing basses from?????
This one was tayste2000's, then mine, then alembic1989's now ville's. Nice bass.
 7. Bump! Have some interest but nothing concrete as yet. Try me!
 8.
Crazy stuff. Well I guess if you're having a bass built for you, you might as well make it flexible. I would've had two parametric mid bands. (just kidding!)
I'm probably going to just have everything centred and turn the piezos off most of the time but it's nice to have the option:) As for the dual parametric mids, i've that covered with my Genz Benz Shuttle Max....but i'd have one on the bass if I could:)
 9.
Is that nine knobs on the front? What's it got in there that needs nine knobs?
Ya, that's 9 knobs alright. It's got: Volume, magnetic balance, piezo/magnetic balance, bass, mid, mid sweep, treble, piezo tone and passive tone control. The passive tone control only sounds like a passive tone as there is no passive option on the bass. John East wasn't able to make the system passive due to the piezos but still put on a passive tone control for good measure.
 10.
I've owned and played a few Chris' instruments and they have all been top notch. You're a lucky man indeed! That Korina top is mighty fine too.
I've never played any of his instruments but I've heard only good things about them. He seems like a really nice guy and i'll look forward to visiting his workshop and seeing some more of his work.
 11. Here is my (well, soon to be my) Chris Larkin custom that my girlfriend had built for me for christmas. Go to www.chrislarkinguitars.com/pamela5Bcustom.htm I can't wait! Cheers, John
 12. Up for sale is my Alfonso Iturra SC5 by Chilean luthier Alfonso Iturra http://www.alfonsoiturra.com/ I got this in a trade with alembic1989 but now with my Chris Larkin custom arriving shortly I've decided to try and thin the herd The bass was built in 2004 I think. It has a walnut top, coihue body, Aero humbuckers, Aguilar OBP-3 pre w/mid switch 18v, Active/passive switch Hipshot hardware, neck through, 34" scale, lightweight, Fitted hardcase It's in pretty good condition. Few bumps etc. Some people find the neck a bit chunky but you just have to get used to it More pics here: http://www.thelowend.net/gallery/viewtopic...192a176760626fc Ideally I'm looking for a nice electric guitar or maybe a bass but might do an outright sale for 950? (if that sounds a bit outlandish, let me know). I'll include shipping within the EU also. Just try me with trades. Any questions, just ask. Might be able to get soundclips eventually I'm in Ireland by the way.
 13.
I could be interested with a cash adjustment. Pics? More details (wood, scale, sound etc)?
I'll get you pics later (just at work now). 34" scale, MM + J pickups + piezo + 3 band EQ w/passive option. Sounds pretty versatile. Getting a recording interface soon so could get you soundclips. I think the body is mahogany. Maple neck through with a figured maple top that hides the neck through from the front. Ebony fretboard. Transparent red finish.
 14. Interested in this maybe? http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...6&hl=iturra
 15.
What about this?
Nice. Most colours are nice actually but I prefer the lighter ones myself.
 16.
That's just filthy cgordonfreeman - it hits the spot.
Indeed it does. I was going to put on an orange swirl pickguard but decided to leave it stock instead.
 17.
I'd love a bongo too, probably a white 5HH for me. My only gripe is that they've got painted necks - it's understandable why a set neck/neck-thru could be painted, but why would anybody want to paint the back of a bolt on neck?!
Have a look here and you'll see mine: photobucket.com/cgordonfreemanbongo Classy:)
