Wonder why Steinbergers haven't been mentioned. There's not that much difference is there?
Having said that,I'll probably get a 'proper 'Status one day..... -

I suppose if you're not in a band, you have time to learn solos, flashy stuff etc.
That said,it's still a challenge.
I think you like metal as do I . Apart from the usual names,
You could try some Jason Newstead,Michael Anthony Geezer Butler etc. Randy Coven.
Don't try Nikki Sixx techniques tho' or you could o d a lot
: -
Awesome sound, fits into boot of car . Only selling for portability purpose.(I don't drive, and went head/cab route)
There is hum at low volume ,but when playing in band situation(rehearsal or gigging) it isn't a problem.
I'm happy with most of my collection ,but for some reason I fancy something
loud... like a Dean cabbie bass.....Or the Squire telecaster reissue. Maybe even a Dean Zone bass in
the loud green colour.
Cash wise? If there's no interest here,I'll probably go to flea bay with a starting price of £250.00 approx.
Pickup only please. I'm based inTwickenham. I currently rehearse with band in acton,so could demo if you like.
Any queries please pm me
Cheers

I've got one. Too scared to use it live tho'. That manual is a real pain in the rear end.
Has anyone gigged with one?

Alot of us have stopped. And started again......
I have found the band thing a total pain at times. It can be like a job at times,
holidays,sickness,unstable people a**hle guitarists etc.
However,if you find the right blend of people (which isn't always easy) it's great. -
You basically need around 250 watts to be comfortable ..
-
Not many peavey lovers out there then......

OK..Bass Hangers gone -to out7hined
Rack case gone-to silverfoxnik
Anybody interested in the other stuff? -
Wow! Things move fast . Looks like the wall hangers have gone.
I have 3 people at present interested in the rack case.
(will probably find out tomorrow)
Thanks for interest.
I'll catch up with everything tomorrow evening.(no access at work I'm afraid)
Cheers
I haven't bought it yet.
I have one Curbow which I love and there's no way I'd change it or sell it. My thinking was whether to get another and try to shape its sound into something that fits better with what I want Bass No. 3 to do.
Oh yeah, you did say earlier : Now I understand. If I was buying another one ,I think that I would sill leave it as is tho' -

I think 4 is too many...Gimme one of those

Sounds like you should leave alone. I believe in not altering stuff unless it's absolutely necessary.
You could sell it ,then look for something more suitable for your requirements etc. -
I just woke up so I might have missed it in the post ... but.... if you want people to collect you might want to put your location in the post OR update your profile.

Awesome sound ,fits into boot of car. Only reason I'm offloading is purely for portability
purposes(I don't drive ,and went the Head/Cab route)
There is hum at low volume, but when cranked up this isn't a problem and I have gigged with it.
If no interest here ,then I will go to flea bay with a starting price of £250.00

There have been a few threads about this recently.(You're not alone)
Like the others say, a band may make a difference. Also effects units, tuition dvds etc.
OH, I nearly forgot...a trip to a music shop lookin' for a different bass should do it -
great collection!
one thing though, £10 per record is a wee bit on the expensive side.

I used to have the above amp many moons ago.
I lost original manual. I wrote to peavey and now I have found 2 others.
I got rid of the amp ages ago.
If you want me to send you one, pm me your address.
My good deed for the day.
Cheers -
I just had a quick google as I haven't heard of those models.
Condition pending ,you could have at least a couple of grand.
You're in the right place to sell by the way.. -
Billy is THE man!! While he can effortlessley play all the'' tricks'',
he always urges everyone to play bass''in the pocket'' etc. and play the basics
as that's what it's all about. He just happens to be the jimi Hendrix of bass(imho) -
Nice Bass.............

I think JB is a little misunderstood at times(like most of us )
When I used to look at some of his columns in the Bass Player mag years ago,
I get the impression he was being very realistic ,no nonsense kinda guy.
He used to diss ''gimmicky '' things like those spring finger strengthening excercisers.
He is also very critical of the ''bass tricks'' and just emphasises the fact
that dedication and practice is where it's all at.
I think that he doesn't say anything different than say Billy Sheehan or many other great players.
I agree tho' with what most of you have said Fun is where it's at,whether you play 3 notes or 1000 a minute etc.
