I've always liked Markbass cabs for the most part, I used to have the 104HF and it was one of the best cabs I've used. I think most of the hate goes towards the heads more than the cabs as they're also rather unreliable in my experience. The cabs are rather mid low mid focused but helps you cut through in a mix really well. Other people just slate them on cosmetics alone

I just wasn't getting on with the Ampeg setup as much as I would've hoped. The Orange sound is just much more suitable to me, my guitarist uses orange too so made sense to switch over to them. I was very temped to go back to Ashdown though.

Finally grabbed the matching orange 4x10 for my new terror bass and sounds immense! The Ampeg rig is now sold on Evilbay pending collection but will miss it a lot, however the orange is more suitable for me right now! people were not exaggerating on the weight of this 4x10 though, it is incredibly heavy

From memory the EQ and controls/layout were different

It was definitely a 2 man job that cab! The picture I’ve used was from the old blue last in London I think which I remember having a big metal exterior staircase which was not a fun experience going up and down with that.

I used to have the 7200 and 7400 at one point using a marshall DBS 2x15 cab and it sounded incredible! Definitely one of my favourite amps i've had. I did a bi-amp setup with a Marshall combo too for a little while. IMG_1903.HEIC

So far for me i would say from amps I've owned; 1. Markbass Littlemark 3. Love the sound of Markbass stuff but not sold on the looks and reliability of them after having a few issues with mine from brand new. 2. Orange Terror Bass. I have only had it a couple of weeks but really loving the amp so far. 3. Ashdown CTM300. Loved this amp a lot paired with the matching 810 but found the EQ a little limiting for me personally at the time. I did have a Fender Super Bassman briefly which I really liked but didn't get a chance to gig it or even band rehearse with it due to covid but that could've maybe been number 1.

Picked this up earlier today to replace my ampeg setup, really surprised with how good this head sounds and how loud it can get! Just waiting to find some Orange cabs to match now

Up for sale is my Ampeg rig! I am only selling this to raise further funds for moving house in July. Overall in very good condition with some minor wear and tear as shown. surprisingly light and stupidly loud setup. Would be interested in trades possibly for Orange bass cabs Please PM for any offers or trades. Ideally collection only from Grimsby but can deliver myself for fuel cost.

2nd hand HX Stomp is the way forward!

I have my eyes on either a Terror Bass or little bass thing from Orange, they both seem like solid options. Just awaiting my ampeg rig to sell before buying.

Up for sale is my lovely Ampeg v4b with the matching 212av, the head comes with a custom made flight case as well (worth £250). Will most likely regret selling this but moving house soon so need to free up some funds. This setup brand new would cost around £2000-£2300 inc flightcase. Offers are welcome on price! only trades I’d really be up for are Orange head/cabs

Ashdown service is always stellar, the bulb on my old CTM300 vu meter went out and he sent me a few new ones in the post for free!

Subtle saturation goes a long way! EQ plays a big part also, lo and hi pass filters make a huge difference.

Was thinking of upgrading to the LT from the stomp but now that's £1000! I think it was around £700 a few weeks ago

Ampeg 112AV is a good shout and one for sale on here currently!

Really don't want to sell this but buying a new house so unfortunately this may have to go! I have not owned this very long, but it sounds, looks and plays incredibly and very light! It does have a thumb rest that I took off but can add back on. It also came with a standard fender soft case which I can include. This bass would really shine with some flats on it but I don’t play any music that would suit that sound so would like to move it on. the stock pickup became noisy so was replaced with the geezer butler signature pickup. Any questions or offers, shoot me a message!
