can you please tell me if you can adjust string tension on a bass? I have recently played a bass that felt perfect for me! the string tension was quite loose, the action was low, the tunning was standerd, but my basses seem to be a bit tighter. would it be the gauge strings? or the action height? or truss rod adjustment? or all? please can you help.... many thanks.

I have a 74 usa fender precision for sale complete with receipt from when bought from new! im the second owner. it is brown but you can see the wood grain through(alder) i think it is very light!!one of the lightest precisions ive held. it also has the pickup/bridge covers, all original , there are a few marks on body and buckle rash on back but in great condition for a 36 year old bass, rosewood fretboard frets all fine im looking for £1900 or offers i live in Reading Berkshire you are more than welcome to try it out. i would prefer if it was collected but will send if buyer pays all fees. i dont have the original case only semi soft case. photos are not very good and do not do the bass justice the bass is darker in the flesh. i have a wal pro fretless single pick up , great sound as only a wal can! it is passive, neck is great ,no issues with bass it has a few marks but good for age BUT need to raise some funds . would accept £1700 ovno for quick deal dont want to post ,collection only ,i could deliver if not to far and you cover fuel cost. i am in Reading Berkshire. Also have a usa 74 precision brown complete with both pick up/bridge covers rosewood fretboard, very light bass, would need £1900 ovno Wal is 1983 so get yourself a bit of bass history

if you want something lighter ,with the same preformance just take it out of the rack case....... problem solved! there great amps.
