As far as I can make out, none of these type of 'air drum' products are velocity sensitive, so you cannot vary the volume of the hit.
If so, that limits the usefulness for me.
Anyone know any different?
It certainly doesn't sound like there are any velocity changes on the video.

Can I ask the bridge spacing please?

I don't need it and definitely can't afford it but my goodness I want it!
Somebody buy it quickly please.

Are they loud enough for a rock band?
250 watts, I've not had any problems with volume.

It'll be my temporary rehearsal rig - at home I use my PC.
Once this band is gigging then I'll buy something better.
Can't leave the amp at the rehearsal room... I don't think.
Peavey TNT might be too heavy to take out the car at home.
That TC combo I linked is an easy one hand lift. I have one, they are good.

Excuse my ignorance here chaps, but what is 70s spacing? Looking at the pic I would assume a wider spacing like 20mm or more?
This refers to pickup positions. 70s spacing has the bridge pickup half an inch closer to the bridge.

A TC Electronic BG250 208 would fit the brief too. Similar money 2nd hand to the Rumble, and have Toneprint on board too.

I just got back from seeing Queens of the Stone Age in Birmingham.
Simply awesome, would 100% recommend.

Some mates of mine perform as the Sad Dad Club. I suspect one of their kids came up with it.

I've only broken one so far, a 0.88mm Dunlop Tortex split straight up the middle. I think that must have been faulty.
I used to break Tortex all the time, so much that I stopped using them. Dunlop nylon .88s don't have this problem, or the Dava control picks that I prefer.

so why did the pawn shop owner let it go so cheap?
Because at that time old P basses weren't very valuable.

I find it quite bland, maybe because all the character has been processed out of Lennon's vocal.
The Beatles made some truly excellent music, but that was some time ago. Making this wasn't really necessary in my opinion.
