  1. Yes, I think it is 17,5mm string spacing on the bridge. Controls are Volume, Panorama and a Treble/Bass stacked pot. The bass sounds brilliant in passive mode. In active mode, you can dial in a very funky fingerstyle sound as well as a Marcus Miller style slap sound. The treble control can also be used to cut high frequencies and works as good as a passive tone blend.
  2. Everybody who played it absolutely loved it. 4,9kg is really as light as a Hexabuzz gets, but I am about to order a Franz Bass Sirius 6 Fretless which will be considerably lighter (and sounds awesome, too). The Hexabuzz has a mean growl in the lower register with a stunning B-string and a very vocal and smooth upper register. It is instantly recognizable and really brings the sound of the band on another level.
  3. I bought this bass on basschat: Wonderful bass in good condition, sounds absolutely phenomenal, IMO the best fretless on the market!
  4. Ibanez Mono-Rail V Bridge - 17mm 45mm at the nut
  5. Link to the photos was added. The bass will be strung E-C or B-G prior to shipping. Nothing of note except for a small ding on the back and the missing trussrod cover (I might be able to find it, have not looked for it yet).
  6. Fodera would charge a lot more for the top alone than the price of this bass.
  7. This is a lot of bass for very little money.
  8. Bump for my old bass. Sounds killer with Labella Nickelwound strings.
  9. I bought this bass new via Thomann and played it for about 1-2 hours. I switched to playing six strings exclusively pretty quickly after buying this one. I think it is a terrific fretless bass, suited for any gig. Alder body Rosewood fretboard, coated Daddario Black Nylon Strings 523€ new (bass+strings)
  10. I think I will get to it sometime tomorrow evening.

At least this bass looks great, though.

Actually, some people paid for a bass and never receiced it.
  13. Btw I love this video clip- had the CD for years, but did not know about the video. Recorded at the Centre Pompidou in Paris, featuring some very skilled dancers 🙂
  14. All of this can be found in the article, though.
  15. Best fretless basses, hands down.
