  1. It's also called " take the money and run " Blue
  2. We played Revere's last night, 8:00-11:00. It was an awful night. First of all we hadn't had a gig in 4 weeks. Load in was horrible. We drove around in the van for 45 minutes before we found a parking spot. It gets worse. It's an upscale restaurant, however it's not a music crowd. As soon as they finished their meals they left. So, by 9:00 we were playing to about 6 people. And to top it off, I sounded like crap. How's that for transparency ? Blue
  3. I learned the hard way with an invisible bear. Blue
  4. Flower in my hair? Lol no flowers in my hair. I think it's a reflection from my glasses. Daryl
  5. In my neck of the woods there's a lot more opportunities for acoustic acts, solo and duo. Blue
  6. Stage presence. I'll look at a gig video and say ok don't move like that anymore or you're too close to the guitarist, don't wear tan pants, make sure you get back to the mic for your vocal part. It's all great value to me. Some guys will not watch their videos. I always learn something from them. Blue
  7. Finally back out there again. Acoustic gig with "She's Right I'm Left" Saturday 4/25 Reveres Restaurant Delafield WI *8:00 - 11:00 * This a late night for me. I won't get home until 1:30.
  8. I do full band and acoustic too. What's it like in your neck of the woods, is it easier to book the acoustic gigs? Blue
  9. Hi Dave, Hope all is well with you and family. We have a bunch of good bookings for Maple Road and our acoustic offering She's Right I'm left for summer 2023. We've also turned down a few bookings. Daryl
  10. We've been off for the past 4 weeks. That means we didn't have much booked for Jan & Feb. And we had a member with a serious medical issue. We start up again next weekend with a high end acoustic gig. Blue
  11. Nobody has heard of us besides the locals.😀 Blue
  12. This is Al Anderson's band, The Original Wailers. Albert is imo an original Wailer going back to his work on Natty Dread. I'm biased because I grew up with Albert. Blue
  13. That sounds cool. Blue
  14. Thanks Maude. Blue

  19. It all seems silly to me. However, the experience might be valuable. I keep thinking about the record promotion party in the movie " Spinal Tap " Blue
  20. My eyesight ain't what it use to be.lol Nice Firebird ! Blue
  21. Not an autograph story, however we have a theatre gig coming up and I read the contract and one line indicated that we're required to do a " meet and greet " after our performance. "Meet and Greet " ? First of all, we're not famous and nobody knows who we are. There's no reason anyone would want to meet us or greet us. Lol😀😜 Blue
  22. Nice Thunderbird! Blue
  23. Funny😀 The one or two times it's happened to me, while I was signing a cd I was thinking; " You must not get out much " 😀 Blue
  24. Now that's funny.😀😀 Blue
  25. I'll start. It's happened to me about 2 times in the last 10 years. I've always felt incredibly sorry for anyone asking me for an autograph. Blue
