It depends on the gig. Overall the tip jar can turn a $100.00 a man gig to a $200.00 a man gig. However we have left some gigs with an empty tip jar. Daryl

Great gig, even though we were almost in the kitchen. The place was packed and the dance floor was filled. Which is impressive considering we're not a dance band. I was encouraged when I saw a punter drop a hundred dollar bill in our tip jar. Lol We have a gig at Foundry 45 this Saturday. Classy room , it's new with state of the art sound snd lighting. Have a great New Year Dave. I love your commentary. Daryl

Dave, Last night I felt like we were playing in a restaurant kitchen. Daryl

Hi Dave, You probably know my story. With me it started out as purely fun and happy to be in a band with good gigs. When I started paying bills with gig money things started to change and ultimately became dependent on the extra income. Datyl

Playing in a working band even as a hobby after your retired is great. For me it's the perfect part time job. Daryl

My condolences Jon. Daryl

We use our PA to play Spotify stuff before we play and during tear down. I'm hoping it's incorporated into our fee. Daryl

Would you send a new bass back that had this damage?
Bluewine replied to markbunney's topic in General Discussion
If you can feel the ding on the back of the neck have it repaired . If the bass is dynamite and feels good keep it. Daryl -
I can't afford to throw in the towel. That's the sad part for those of us dependent on the money. I couldn't stop if I wanted to. I've got a long list of creditors. Lol Daryl

As long as your getting good players that have the right attitude, experience, commitment and personality for your band your off to a good start. Daryl

I don't think I've heard those Christmas Standards over here . Great songs though. Daryl
-
Yeah, your right Dave. Over here you can weasel a cowboy hat into any genre. Daryl
-
I will. You would think they would have an application scaled down for bass and cheaper. Daryl
-
Can you give me an example of UK Christmas standards? Daryl

I'm battling with the whole Helix/ Kemper thing and not using an amp. Daryl

I'm terrified of heights. If I'm in a car driving over a high bridge, I feel better off stopping the car and jumping off the bridge. Daryl
-
Pretty much. When you hit my age you resort to the " cowboy hat". Daryl

No gigs for me until NYE. Daryl

Easy money, that's the best kind. Lol Daryl
