  1. Wow! That story is hard to top. I can relate to all of it. We had something similar happen with a bunch of Irish dancers and musicians. I occasionally play my 51 Precision re-issue. Blue
  2. Nice look. Blue
  3. I'm hoping my issue is the transmitter. I have a spare . Daryl
  4. Dave, You were having wireless issues too? Daryl
  5. Thanks Dave, Yes, I felt pretty good yesterday. Next week we have a road trip to Plymouth Wisconsin with a late 9:00pm start. Daryl
  6. Turned out to be a fun gig. We didn't start " clicking until the 3rd or 4th song My line6 wireless failed and I had to ditch my pedal board . Very appreciative crowd. The 2.5 hours went by quick with a 20 minute break. Pics 1. Fair grounds 2. Load in back stage. Air conditioned trailer with a refrigerator stocked with water and beer. 3. Stage pic. Thats Rebecca & The Grey Notes. They played before us Blue
  7. Thanks for the information. I'll try and get some decent pics. Our show is on 9/16. Blue
  8. Wisconsin State Fair this Saturday. Blue
  9. I know a guy that trys to show off how " old school " he is by leaning his bass up against his amp. Very foolish. Blue
  10. When I was a kid, we didn't have instrument stands or anything decent to tune our basses. Daryl
  11. What's that SG leaning against? Blue
  12. No gigs this weekend. We had the Thursday night show at the Washington County Fair. If I had a choice I'd pick our 1.5 hour special event shows. It's less work and more money. Theater gigs are hard to come by. Most of these historical theaters are from the 1920s and there's not many around. Just so happens we have The Bend Theatre right in my home town, West Bend. We probably play there twice a year. Daryl
  13. Hi Dave, I can almost say we no longer play bar/oub gigs. There are so many fair and festival gig opportunities in the summer we can afford to pass on bar gigs. We get a theatre gig once in a blue moon. On 9/ 16 we're playing The AL Ringling Theatre in Baraboo WI. Daryl
  14. Nicecto see a regular gig. I was starting to think all you guys were playing upscale theatre gigs and arenas. Blue
  15. Nice! I can't believe the high level gigs some of you guys are playing. Blue
  16. We had nobody dancing. Sound on stage was awful and I know Jenny and Rory couldn't hear any bass. Blue
  17. Agreed, the high point of the night was being approached by a lady who had seen me in the video shoot I did with Terry Sweet. The " Days Of Dyanna" video . She was very nice. My response; " I can see that it's hard for you to believe your actually standing here talking to me" 😆 Blue
  18. Thanks Dave, We'll get the next one. Yeah, after the first set Jenny looked at me and said " nothing is working for me ". Next week we have the Wisconsin State Fair. Daryl
  19. Not good, the whole thing really bad. Nothing clicked . I've nothing more to say. Blue
  20. All good, fun show. Blue
  21. Looks like a " big time " gig.👍
  22. Hi Pete, Yeah, I'm getting old. Yesterday I went to pay the young lady at the gas station at the check out. She said "good morning Sir, I hope your having a great day". I said, " I am, but you don't have to call me Sir, I missed the Civil War by a few years. Lol Daryl
  23. I love that red Gibson Fire Bird ! Blue
  24. "Hi Gang Maple Road will be performing this week on Thursday 7/27 @ The Washington County Fair. We'll have Tim Sardina on drums. We'll be on the Do Drop In Stage. We start at 5:00." I'll let everyone know how it goes. Access to the stage might be tricky. I hope we draw a cool engaged crowd Blue
  25. I have to admit I don't miss working from 9-5 and going to play a gig straight from work. It's hard to believe I've been retired for 10 years. Blue
