1.
Well, I'm Chipps from Singletrack. Not sure about the world fame bit though A Meta 5? Nice... Let me know if you want to part ex your bass for any bike gear :-) Unfortunately I play bass as well as I ride bikes - extremely averagely... New issue out next week though. Rambling reply due to deadline tiredness... Cheers!
I am actually on the look out for a decent hardtail so you never know...
 2.
Aaargh! That's far too lovely... But I already have a four string Corvette - I surely don't need another Warwick do I?
Hey Chipps, you're just down the road from me in Tod! I wonder if this is the world famous chipps of singletrack??? If so greetings from a bass playing meta 5 rider!

 4.
My God that was quick... I've ogled from the sidelines with this one including the last time it was sold...I plan one day to get a maple with pearl blocks jazz and this model will be the one. My first bass was a Japanese copy of this type of bass (albeit with black blocks) and I vow one day to have a real one! Incidentally a while ago I too sold a 1976, rosewood board, pearl blocks and binding Fender J for 400 quid through Andy's. It sounded great but weighed about 2 tonnes so I'm not too regretful... C
I missed this one by a whisker, you got yourself a cracking buy there greyparrot! If you ever decide to sell it pm me!!!
 5.
Couldn't agree more, exactly what happened when I sold mine. Good luck mate that's a decent price! Just a case of waiting for the aforementioned right buyer.
Thanks joebass,it is a cracking bass so if it doesnt sell i wont be too distraught!

 8.
Looking to sell my warwick thumb 4 string bolt on,it is in mint condition (the only blemish on it is a slight flake of paint that has come off one of the tuners). It is a 1999 model so it has the wenge neck (which most players seem to prefer over the ovangcol ones) and an ovangcol body. It comes complete with warwick gig,wax and truss rod adjuster. looking to sell this to finance some GAS! Reduced to £620. cheers Mick.
bump. still for sale.

 11.
Rellly nice man, i have a 5 string, Only thing is, looking at the pictures, it looks like, between the strap button and bridge there is a a crack in the wood or a white mark?
Its definatly not a crack! Its like martthebass pointed out its the line where the two halves of the body join.

 14.
Hey Bass Chat Forum, I bought this bass as I joined a band that needed a bassist (i usually play guitar). The band didn't really take off, and i'm now left with an as new Marcus Miller IV that I have no use for! It was bought in December from The Guitar Store in Southampton for 699.99 with a receipt to prove. As new condition, beautiful natural ash grain on the body, sounds really bright and punchy in active mode. So easy to play with a really nice C shape neck. Made in Japan. Still wearing its factory strings! Fender Deluxe gigbag, all hang tags and tools included. Pics to follow... Price is 500 firm. I'll keep it if it doesn't sell for this. Located in Southampton This pic is the exact bass when it was in the shop - more to follow tonight.
PMd

 17.
You might want to consider a Musicman Sterling too. There's a very pretty one on sale in the Bass Marketplace section at the moment - I am in no way affiliated with the seller, by the way.
Definately second what Rowbee says,i love my sterling! I used to have a stingray too which was another great bass but prefer the slimmer feel of the sterlings neck.
 18.
You would be surprised how the front pickup sounds on this bass, like a mixture of stingray and P bass. Definitely sounds like it is further forward if you catch my drift. Unlike some basses with a similar layout each pickup is very usable on its own. Cheers ped
Sold to beneath it all today, thanks for all the positive comments chaps over the last few weeks! Thats a mighty fine bass you've got mike! cheers
 19.
I've got one. They track well and make the usual kinds of synthy and squelchy sounds. Easy enough to use as well. Some people seem to prefer the Deep Impact, though that may or may not be connected with the fact that Chris Wolstenholme uses one - I've not tried one to compare.
what does the expression pedal do? How much does the pedal cost as a stand alone item?
 20.
theres one for sale in the effects forum too, never tried one but from what iv heard in sound clips its pretty funky
Interesting,i might put a bid on the one on ebay it looks mint and its not far from me.cheers kev
