    As described perfectly by Ian , this is an absolutely fabulous jazz bass and one of the best sounding and playing i have ever had as the previous owner. A bargain price too as these are over four grand new! Just a shame you prefer a p-bass to the jazz Ian , but whoever buys this beauty and really wants a very nice jazz will love it.     Hi Alanbass, The action is quite low , just right in my opinion with no buzzing anywhere , it probably could go a touch lower if you fancied that ,but never felt the need to. And there are no shims (i think that's what you meant to ask?) and being a quarter sawn neck it doesn't seem to move through the seasons like some necks do and i''ve not needed to adjust it since i first bought it.     Hi Alan , the bass is in completely standard specification so the pick ups are the ones that fender fit at the factory for this model , so not sure of the exact detail on that but i do know they sound pretty fantastic! Cheers, Mick
