  3. anybody got a list of the full effects, pre amps, amp models, Bass specific, just ordered a stomp model, and wondered what was available. also is the device fully by passable when no effects are in use, i had a Zoom B3n and although that was quite good it was not fully by passable or transparent and sucked all the natural bass tone away. I am hoping the Helix adds to the natural flavor.

  5. Are we not all looking, maybe its a mythical relic that does not really exist and its an endless quest. this seems like the one, for now anyway. I did have an MXR m80 bass di and overdrive. the overdrive was very nice but as soon as it kicked in even with gain all the way down, its sucked out all the bass tone, you had to have the blend right down to well below 12pm otherwise the bass all went. this does not do that but you can still get face ripping overdrive on higher settings ans still not lose much bass tone. I hopefully will stick with this but then you see something else and think ooh thats worth a try.
  6. KHDK Abyss overdrive pedal. Had my eye on one of these for a while now, really fancied an Xotic bass BB but just too expensive and only really does one thing. Think I have made the right decision with this, two channels low (mildrr overdrive) hi (out n out distortion) you can get anything from slight tubey boost with a bit of grit to some really nice smooth warm grit, all the way to some complete ripping distortion. There is no blend but separate volume control for clean and dirt, which takes a short while to get your head around but works really really well. Found it best to set the clean to line level, then just bring in the dirt to the level Satuartion I want, once you have that level then the gain is just more you want or less you want and then get no loss of low end. Really liking this, and it goes into my Tech 21 VT really well on a mild/clean setting or with just the eq on. You only really need the treble if saturating the dirt channel and been to lose some highs, other wise just left it at like 11 or 12 pm anybody else got one any other fans
  7. Electro Harmonix Hotwax dual overdrive pedal. Hot tubes side nice tubey drive and warmer overdrive, Crayon side more gritty distortion, combine both in sequence fir a real dirty overdrive. Two ban boost cut eq and blend knob makes if perfect for Bass or guitar. Both channels go from full range transparent clean boost to full overdrives. Can include postage to mainland uk in price. Or less meet up local mid Yorks.

  8. no i will check it out, i sold my Zoom, it is cheaper to buy a new Zoom than a xotic, but trouble with the zoom is it does not play well with other pedals, it the zoom on its own or nothing, thats how i found it. and no true by pass so you have to have the zoom in your chain the whole time, but we digress.
  9. I would love a BB bass preamp really love the sound on my Zoom pedal but they are £200 for what is basically a distortion pedal, all be it a very good one, think its a bit trade description calling it a pre amp, it has no blend no di no mid switch just a pedal with bass and treble, still very good but would expect moor for £200
  10. on the photo does not show a di, or its well hidden, think it is a pedal pure and simple, no reason why cannot run out through a flat di though, but as others said there already is a rack mount geddy preamp.
  11. betty swollocks, just bought a Tech21 Vt as well, probably would have bought this instead, but the VT as a di and this does not. slightly of subject anybody got settings for a geddy tone on a VT.
  12. Sold now anyway, local buyer turned up tonight. Thanks for your interest.
  13. don't have a problem shipping it to you at your cost of cause, i have a box to ship it in and can weight it boxed and get a quote for shipping. i have used hermes before and it was reasonable.
  14. They make such good looking bass's with outrageous but still pleasant on the eye colours, I know aesthetics such not influence what bass you buy, but Ibanez back it up at this price range.
  15. Low and behold 2019 model black current and liquorice https://www.ibanez.com/usa/products/detail/sr2400_1p_01.html
  16. Its slightly more rounded on the end yes, dare i say a bit more D***o shaped.
  17. Couple people say that, but still pretty sure its an early legend.
  18. Yes it's a bolt on neck.
  19. top ones more Tizer.
  20. looks like a pirate treasure map, like the one on the Goonies (other pirate based treasure maps are available)
  21. It's posts like these that make made me feel i was seriously missing out in not having a P bass, so i got one, and its OK it sounds pretty good but it has that one sound and not much else. prefer my Jazz and My new Ibby. would i miss it if i did not have it? i play it because its there, but its not my go to bass. Could sell it but its a Noir limited edition with upgraded Emg geezors so think it will mature in price if i hold on to it.
  22. Roto 66 nickels are my favorite strings, warm not to bright and good clarity.great on any bass but really great on my Jazz.
  23. maybe next year they will do a Black current and liquorice flavour, or a rhubarb and custard
  24. Look like a warm green, better in natural l light, not that we get much natural light this time of year, I'll take a few more pics.
  25. that's what made me buy it.
