Plus, from a function point of view, these tuners are SO much better.

They look better to me too and I normally like the plastic keystone tuners. Given that they're better at doing their job too is a win/win.

On the downside I still have tennis elbow and need some rest and ice I think. I keep meaning, and forgetting, to put an ice pack on it, and keep playing bass, so I'm not helping myself much. Doh.

After trying many different things for my tennis elbow, I found that the application of KT tape was the best way to recovery. There are plenty of videos showing the pattern the tape should be. It’s certainly worth a try as it’s not expensive.

  3. My old ‘80s cover band are still technically a band, even though we are very much geographically broken up. It was a southwestern, M25 based band, where the bass player has now moved to Scotland and the keyboard player to Blackpool. The FB page is still active and, I guess, we may all be in the same locale, at the same time, whereupon a get together or gig would be eminently suitable. I miss those guys.

Please could someone walk me through how to delete images?

Click on your avatar/username top right

    Select ‘my attachments’

Go through (only 1 page at at a time) and check the box on the right of the pictures you want to delete

Once you select an attachment, a bin symbol will appear with the amount of selections you’ve made

Finish all the selecting for that page and then hit the bin symbol to delete and confirm when asked.

I find it best to start at the last page of attachments and work backwards.

I would say it's fine. You didn't buy the bass, you bought the potential to win it. Raffle tickets aren't gear, last I checked. I would just say well done and celebrate your good fortune, jealously ;)

I didn’t even have to buy a ticket. It was GG’s wins Stingray comp that only required an email entry. As it closed over 2 weeks ago and I haven’t heard anything, I can only assume I didn’t win it :(

first long service award offered is for 25 years,

Cheapskates! The place I worked at the longest gave 5 and 10 year awards, whether there was anything beyond that, I don’t know, no one achieved that during my tenure AFAIR.

Still, useful gear avoidance for you @neepheid. Here’s a thing, what if one entered a competition, where the prize was a bass and you won? I did this and didn’t win, but it did make me wonder.

So, they've offered me £25 off the purchase price. I think I'm ok with that.

It seems to be their standard, damage discount, amount (I received the same for my chipped bass headstock). It’s reasonable enough and certainly saves the agro of doing a return to the EU, plus instant mojo. :D
