That bridge looks to be slightly further forward than the standard Ric bridge. Is the V2 bridge smaller?

I don't like that so much - it's like they've copied the Chickenbackers.

I think they moved the position of the neck-body join.

As this thread seems to still be fairly healthy after so many years, I'll make a contribution. 1980 4001 with aftermarket black plastics. There has been some debate elsewhere about whether this is Fireglo or Autumnglo. I've always assumed its FG but AG seems to have almost been the same as FG at some points down the years, so it could be possible. There is no hint of brown in it though, and the red is a bit brighter in person than it appears in this pic. Great guitar though, I've owned it since 1989.

Not dissimilar in colour to my slightly customised 2013.

It's like an Attitude without the neck pickup, scalloped frets, dual outputs, angled neck screws, and pretty much everything that comprises an Attitude.

Marketing licence with the Billy Sheehan brand!

It'd be interesting to see how it reacts to bending the neck forward to do a drop-D!

  4. Well, she certainly had her fan base, but I never latched on to her; I found her a bit disparaging of the music I liked and a somewhat offputting on the OGWT.

(I guess "passed" is a shortening of "passed away", which has been a term used for many years.)

  5. My interest in music peaked when I could download easily from Pirate Bay; I'd have a listen, buy the album, and often go and see a band.

As the option withered away, so did my interest and I've not really got into watching on YT as much as I might've.

The last band I saw was James Oliver at the Kempton Park Guitar Show - he was really good.

I still think back to the 70s/80s where a musician would have one decent-ish guitar & one amp (often paid for by student grant, and said musician if no longer a student would more than likely be unemployed as unemployment was a big problem then), would be living in squalor eating virtually nothing all day (which is why they were all stick thin back then). Sure we have a cost of living problem at the moment but there were plenty of hard times years ago as well.
