1. You're making me want to keep it now Dubz...it really is a cracking bass to play.
I originally sold it to Phuze about a year ago. Feels and sounds like a £1k+ bass. I've played a lot of bolt on Warwicks (Streamers, Thumbs, a few Corvettes, etc...) and this is the nicest that I have personally played. I'd love it back but I just dropped a wedge on a Jazz... I don't know why I'm recommending this to anyone cos I want it!
2. Located Stroud in glos As for the fingerboard wood and body wood...I have no idea?? Previous owner did not furnish me with those details so I'm left to guess like the rest of us!!! I don't think its a rosewood board though, there is some openess? about the grain of the wood. One thin I would say is the bass is very light.
Where abouts are you?
3. My mistake...now edited the original post with 2 band eq, balance and vol
If you have 3 bands on 4 regular knobs then there is no balance or no volume. Can you explain?
4. I have blatantly ripped this sale ad off from Phuze, from whom I bought this lovely bass. It really is a cracker but I'm now a bit strapped so have to raise some funds. For Sale: Warwick Streamer Stage 1 bolt-on. Apparently these were only produced for a short time before the LX series came into play but I'm sure some Warwick-head will be better informed than me. Serial Number = H-031657-96 2 band eq, balance and a push pull active passive vol control. Bog standard hard case as well if you want it. Price = £520 is what I paid in total for it. Collection welcome or postage a buyers expense. Cheers Jem
 5. Hello there Here we have for sale my Stringray 3 band eq in Trans red, which is in mint condition, no dings, scratches or nicks at all! For Sale at £680 no trades, but might consider a swap for a mint P Bass sunburst, otherwise straight sale. Comes with original hardcase. Buyer pays for delivery. Will do paypal if fees are covered. year of manufacture is 2002 and the serial is... E31152 if that helps? Grab a bargain !
 6. Will be on holiday next week and will be making a decision on this after Sat 10th April....it's likely to go....
Has it gone?
7. Well it's up as a feeler at the mo so I haven't pulled the trigger on it just yet but loads of interest at this price so I think it will definitely go.
 8. Up for potential sale is my Marcus Miller Jazz bass. Pretty much mint condition apart from a small lacquer ding on the front near the top horn (because its natural finish you cannot really see it and its hard to photograph, you'd never spot it unless you know its there) and a bit of a lacquer graze on the back of the neck near the 4th fret. Cannot be seen or felt when playing, just needed to mention it to be fair. Otherwise its in great condition and setup really nicely. Has DR FatBeam Marcus Miller strings and will come with a hardcase. Looking for around £490 for this, postage will be extra on top of that. Located in Stroud Gloucestershire. Cheers Jem
 9. From the SWR manual:- Minimum load per channel on the Stereo 800 is 2 ohms. This is the equivalent of 2- 4 ohm cabinets, or 4- 8 ohm enclosures. In the STEREO mode, the Stereo 800 will work on all loads from two ohms to infinity (no speakers at all, which is how your parents would probably prefer it). Therefore, you may operate the Stereo 800 using the speaker outputs of just one channel and not the other. In the MONO/BRIDGE mode, minimum load is FOUR (4) ohms. If you try and use a load of less than 4 ohms in the bridge mode, one or more of the protection fuses will probably blow (open).
Pretty sure this will bridge at 4 ohms... and if you can't run at 4 ohms you aren't going to get 800watts.
10. Bumpy Bump....no trades at this point - straight sale required
Trade or Part ex for Trace AH400SMX?? Plus some cabs?? You never know, I love my AH, but to have an 800w power amp racked up would be phenomenal!!
11. Have Ashdown 4 x 10 ABM 600w Cab with horn (can be switched high low or off) absolutely mint condition! Any good to you ?
For Sale £450 or trade for a 4x10 4 or 8 ohm Aguilar GS USA Ampeg SVTHLF G&K RBH or EBS Proline WHY
12. Hi Gaf Could do you a better deal seeing as though you are in the Chelt like me. No delivery and such like. How did you get on at the Bacon last night...did they put Lounge Fly through ? I was there at 1-2pm but a no go for us!
That's lush!
13. Weekend bump...this lovely bass is still here!
Hi there Bought this Tokai Harpuncher only a couple of weeks ago from a fellow bass chatter and am shamelessly using some text and the pics from his original posting. This is a quality instrument from Japan, one of the higher end Tokai models...not the Korean / Chinese ones. The only reason I'm moving it on so quickly is that the P Bass sound is not really sitting that well in my current band setup. Other than that it is a fine sounding(better than my old USA Fender) example. It's an Agathis body, see thru Blonde finish with matching headstock ,gold hardware and a 20 fret maple neck. It also sports Fender alnico p/ups. It has a brass Ibanez bridge fitted at the moment but the original one is here if you prefer it. The originial holes lined up perfect so no issues with extra holes. I also have the white pick guard that came with bass, again no issues with extra holes for the torty one. Tone is pure "P" with some nice honky midrange from the maple neck, especially with rounds fitted. Thumps like a good un with Flats. It'll be shipped with a set of almost new Nickel rounds. This had a pro set up done very recently, the action is nice and low and it plays great. Comes with Hardcase and strap too. £300 is roughly what I paid shipped so that's the price I'll accept, £300 shipped to your door( UK ).
15. I think normal tuning would be a positive move, I might be tempted again then !!
mate just think things are tight , il love the look of the bass but would want to change it to normal tunning and prob put a soapbar where the neck pick up is!!!! bump for a gorgeous bass.
16. The Gaffa tape is just there to stop the hooks from the flight case lid marking the face of the amp......probably just the way I mounted it in the case??
What are the two small pieces of Gaffa tape covering on the lower front face of the power amp?
17. Thanks for the comments Bass Bod. I have to say that I love this setup and am thinking that I might just lug this around for gigs, and get something cheap and light for rehearsal. It does sound awesome!! To bridge on this amp, connect a speaker to any of the top row speaker on connectors and press the red bridge button to combine both amps. Dead easy, connect up 2 8ohm cabs to get maximum output from the bridge.
No problems with the price - very good gear for the money. I'd guess people are just a bit skint, and the newer smaller lightweight stuff is grabbing everyone's attention. I have got a question about the SWR, as I've happily owned one for a several years. It looks like the speaker connections have been updated from jack/banana plugs to speakons. Can you still bridge the two amps? On mine I have to use one half of each banana set to connect it in bridge mode... If anyone is wondering - the Stereo 800 sounds a lot louder than the specs suggest, it really is a great power amp for bass.
18. Anyone any comments ? Too much...not enough....just right ??
 19. Hi there I'm possibly thinking of moving on my bass rig. An immaculate condition Trace Elliot GP12 SMX preamp, superb condition inside and out. Recently serviced by EMS in Southend who commented on how good an example this was. Has the cool luminous green back light...very nice! Also a great condition SWR 800 power amp with 400w per side or 800w bridged. I've pictured both the rear and back connections to show you that these 2 have everything you need connection wise. These 2 items are housed in a Gator flight case as shown in the photos. THE ASHDOWN CAB IS NOT INCLUDED. They sound absolutely awesome. £450 all in.
 20.
This used to be mine and i can confirm its a beaut!, Great player and full on P tone Plus Jem is a great bloke.
Cheers buddy, bit sad to be getting rid of it to be honest. On a side note, did you ever sell the piezo ray...still wish i'd been a bit more decisive about it!!!!
 21.
Where are you based sir?
I'm in Stroud Glos. I have someone very interested so this may be going on hold shortly.
 22. Hello Folks Here we have for sale my USA P Bass with S1 switching. It's in fabulous condition with only the usual minor surface scratches(if any) that are too hard to photograph. Previous owner cd_david can also vouch for how nicely this looks and plays. Gold scratch plate was added afterwards, I still have the white one that originally came with the bass. This bass comes with the Fender moulded hard case plus all the case candy. I believe this is a 2005 vintage. Sad to let this go because it is such a nice sounding and playing instrument but sadly it doesn't get enough usage. No trades thanks. I can ship but it will be additional to the price of the bass. Cheers Jem
