Lovely bass. I have a soft spot for Tobias basses. Unfortunately not the wallet 😂

Bought these for me and my lad to go to gigs;
ACS Pacato 19 Reusable High Fidelity Hearing Protectors Earplugs Ear Plugs https://amzn.eu/d/21it9eD
They work. So long as you get attenuating plugs that reduce all frequencies uniformly, you’ll be good.

How much did it cost? Love the look, btw.

They lost me a bit when they talked about the "air between the amps and mics" being responsible for the change in sound. That's too fairy dust for me.
I’ve got some jars of tone air if anyone is in the market. My favourite is “charity shop” air - so much character.- 1

Hell of a turnaround there - looked so plain but now looks expensive! Nice.

The headstock is not great - very anonymous and why do it in such a way that the strings have to go at such angles after the nut?
The headstock is something I like 😂. I saw it on Instagram the other day (just a shot of the rear of the headstock) and thought “that’s nice”. Not in to the bendy metal thing though - I could see me bending it out of shape accidentally.

Another resurrection - I found one for sale and snapped it up. Should be with me tomorrow/ mid week hopefully at which time I'll post photos and a review.
Combo or bass? Assuming combo. I put a Beyma in mine - sounds lovely!

I’ve been instructed by SWMBO to purchase a tumble dryer, so there goes my projects fund for a while!

Won't the internals speakers be 4ohm? If not, this would be a great shout.
Damn - didn’t think of that! The service manual appears to confirm 4 ohms 🤦🏻

I love a good mod. I remember reading about people swapping out drivers on the Rumble 100 combos for more chutzpah. Does the port tuning need any amendment though?

Hello @MungoBass. I don’t need another project, but this is Basschat after all. £30 has me interested 😂
Do you know the ohm rating?

Here’s an opportunity! No connection to the seller (I just spend too much time on Basschat)
pull out the amp and you have a cheap matching extension cab!

Also, I got by for a number of years with a 100w 12” combo. Sometimes I struggled, but who cares.
Maybe try it out full tilt with your band and see if you need to upgrade at all?

It's not always ideal, but you can't deny that 'heads and breakables' is the reality of playing certain types of gigs when you're a certain type of band. In those circumstances, if you're the one that tips up with your full rig when you've been explicitly told that there's no time or room for it, or conversely doesn't tip up with an amp head because you're not risking it, it's also a good way to get dropped from future gigs with that promoter or venue because there are always other bands that will make their lives easier. We've played some of our best local support slots for touring bands not because we were always the best fit for the gig musically, but because we have a reputation with the stage manager of the local rock club for turning up when we're told, bringing and leaving what we're instructed, setting up and checking un-fussily, playing for as long as we're given, and clearing the stage quickly afterwards.
In terms of where to go after your first combo, getting a loud little amp head and some cables in a bag can't be the worst advice going if it lets you access a really commonly found format for getting out there and playing some music with/to some people.
I like this post. Know your people. It’s all about the people.

GK used to do combos with what appeared to be powered slave cabs. Might be compatible with your model? That would give you the same sound but more of it.
edit: here it is…

If they did a Mustang in this colour, I’d be on it.

Garage Find Bass Amps - Advice Needed

Might just be a bit of internet Petrol on an internet fire, but there’s been a bit of a buzz around 80’s Peavey guitar amps with the blue knob and saturation control, thanks to QOTSA. There are a few in the range with the same circuit, so might be a good find?
