Hi Dave
I've hardly used this since I bought it, but dug it out again today to try with a new amp. (The serial number is 216).
Do you roll off the treble on these? I do notice that there is a fair bit more top in the signal in bypass mode.
Is there a component, or components I could change to get my treble back? I have full access to electronic rework kit incl. surface mount.
Cheers

All mine now!
Mr 6stringbassist is a very easy guy to deal with. It's been a pleasure.

That's an unbelievable price!
I've seen the heads alone go for a lot more than that. -
No opinions on this then?

Hi there dude!
I'd like to take this if it is still available.
It should match in with my newly arrived Barefaced Compact.
PM'd
Cheers

Mine isn't here yet Still time today though, I guess).
Stop press!! It's here too. Something tells me England will be a noisier place this evening! I'm SO glad the Speakon cable I ordered for it arrived yesterday!
Cheers Alex -
In this pic, I had worn out my facial muscles gurning to the camera while the flash took an age to charge. By the time the pic was taken I was all gurned out and just look tired and about to be sick (and not in the good modern usage)

What?? you mean drummers? -
Hi Folks
Now these have been around for a bit, how are you getting on with them, sound and reliability-wise?
Cheers

Would anyone be interested at £250?
The seller is on the verge of px ing at a shop and I think they will offer even less.
I haven't had the go ahead from him for this price yet, but will see him tonight....
Let me know if you're interested.
Cheers
hey jules
how much repair need to be done with your bass does it work i been looking for a headless bass for years and how low on the price would you go for
cheer lance
RADICAL PRICE DROP £140!!!!!
Lance, it doesn't really need any work done.
If you would like and honest independant appraisal of how it plays, King Tut (Colin) had a good play on it when he came over to buy an amp off me.
I'm sure if you PM him he will give you the score on it.
At this price you can't really go wrong for a backup bass.
First person to offer this on here gets it, remember it is collection, or meet up reasonably close to Oxford.
Cheers
Jules -
I think King Tut has an electro Tanglewood he was trying to trade. Might be worth dropping him a PM

Did you recently go to a lighter gauge or different brand of strings?
You could insert a tiny sliver of business card into the bottom of the A string slot and see if that sorts the buzz out.
Feeler removed.... Definately for sale now. Offers via PM... 4 string trades considered but would prefer £££
Not ££££ ?
Good luck with the sale.

Just sold a Laney Supergroup 100 head to Colin. He's a nice bloke to deal with, communicated well and did just what he said he was going to do.
A straight-up guy. Cheers.

Ok, as the title says, this is sold, being picked up on sunday.
Sorry to the others who missed out, but thanks for your interest and comments.
Cheers
Exactly why I wanted it. For the doom side project that may overtake the main funk project.
As I replied first am I first in line or was I not definitive enough?
I'm sorry dude - beaten by PMs and firm offer! First one was <5 mins after OP! -
Nah! I'm not going to get in to this auction thing. Frowned on roun' these paaartz, they iz!
I've got 2 offers at the asking, subject to approval of the pics.
I may end up kicking myself if it turns out to be a bargain, but
1. I wasn't using it
2. It s tatty and had parts replaced so won't appeal to some twatty collector
3. As my old mate used to say, "Jules, life's too short, and so are you" -
I've taken some photos, and looked at the valves. 2 Marshall el34 and 2 unnamed (older?) output valves, 1 Marshall ecc83, 1 Peavey ecc83, 1 Peavey 12AT7 (done from memory, could be wrong!) I thought it may be 73/4 but it could well be older. Anyone shed any light? just noticed a lot of 69s on the transformers - date codes?
Had a quick play tonight through a tiny guitar cab and all is functioning correctly. I was surprised how little background noise there was with it full up too.
Laney Supergoups are highly respectable 70's amps and on the cusp of collectability.
So if I said £600 I'd get more interest?
Seriously though, I haven't seen any of these up for sale recently and am a bit out of touch in terms of "collectability" and "worth".
Thanks for any input on these matters.
I suppose I should get some photos done.
Would you like that? -
Hi folks.
A Laney Supergroup 100. For Bass or guitar.
Had this kicking around for years.
Got it serviced last year.
I just haven't ever used it so may move it on.
If there's any interest, I can post pictures.
The equivalent Marshall would be worth tons but...
Any interest at around £275 ?
Cheers

the bass player in my old band had one in natural finish and it sounded fantastic recorded. I don't normally get on with precisions, but this was fantastic!
Good luck with the sale.

I just tried my Maplin PSU and the switchable dial seemed to have a dead spot near 12V where the LED just didn't come on. Moved it a bit either side and bingo!
