  1. Hello It has come to my attention that NBs need Declaring so here it goes 🙃 I’ve been considering getting a Reverend Decision P for a while, I tried to find one to try it first but couldn’t make it work, I researched youtube and the internet in general for info but there wasn’t so much and then last week, i jumped. It’s not the right thing to do (buying without trying) but I must say this time it worked out for me. My midnight black Reverend Decision P arrived today and I’ve been playing it all day. Love the thing. The way it feels, the sounds you can get out of it, the weight and yes also the way it looks. I will probably change the strings to flatwounds but in the meantime here’s a little vid and a photo for happiness Hope everyone is well DDR NBD.mov
  2. I guess I could have given more streaming options: https://album.link/i/1707445768
  3. I guess the feel of it plays an important role, practical things like weight (I've got back problems). I do like the raw di sounds to he close what I'm after... appearance... well sure, one should like it
  4. Haha no but it's a classic mim fender precision. A good enough instrument for sure...
  5. Yes I hear that. My first bass which I picked out of about 30 I tested in a well stocked shop is still the only one I'll never sell and keep going back to. I just keep wondering what it's like to have a higher quality instrument and what that might entail. Try em for sure, if you can..
  6. Ah thanks, cool the 4 string also https://youtu.be/VMMYHo912WU?feature=shared
  7. Hello I do find LowEnd Lobster's bass reviews great. I do find the words "for the money" it's a great instrument a bit confusing, and no matter what, always find the reviews for an appreciated instrument to receive a maximum of 4 claws. I wonder if anyone's aware of a review of his that's ended in a 5 claws score? I'm also interested in knowing what you think a great 4 string instrument - not for the money but just fully - would be. Thank you D
  8. Hello Basschatters I've been releasing a lot of music over the years, most of it as a drummer/ producer but recently things switched I am now a devout bass player on his journey to personal music bliss. Sounds flowery but basically my most joyful achievement on the drums has not been linked to the status-performances i may have gotten under my belt but rather the arrival of a comfort with the instrument that allowed me to reach some kind of meditation while playing. I look forward to getting there, meanwhile my bass playing has started to feature on my recordings. On Friday my self-released label arrived to it's 25th release. I'd be really happy to hear from you with your thoughts about it. https://davederosemusic.bandcamp.com/album/potion-trigger Hope you enjoy! Peace DDR
  9. The main thing I've noticed is that when I'm actually busy playing I don't often think about new gear. When I'm not playing it gets me. A good friend of mine once said to me: just make sure that you're spending at least 90% more time practicing than looking at gear on the Internet.

  11. Hello Here's my Sire Marcus Miller V5 vintage white 4 string w/ Di Marzio Area J pickups + blend mod bass. Sometimes I love it, like when i'm looking at it or when i hear it in a mix, when i'm playing something simple that my massive hands can handle, but for me getting a Jazz Bass was something i felt I should do rather than something I wanted to do. I cannot play on these necks the strings are too close and it just makes me want my 50's classic P fretboard under my hands... So, if there's someone out there who wants an upgraded version of this bass I replaced the stock pickups with these silent Di Marzio Area Js and turned the second volume control into a blend control. I say I did these, i didn't I paid someone really good to do it and in my mind it completely makes sense. Obviously you can have the old pickups too. Bass has only one ding (pictured), has not been played enough, not been gigged much. Not looking for trades unless a Reverend Decision P is involved... Bass is currently in Athens, Greece. Could travel to London early November but extra seat on the plane is currently a bit pricey so depends of that going down and the price this bass can sell for. Up for sensible offers. Below are some vids if you want to hear it - with a pick on roundwounds : https://youtu.be/EANB4H7t6UA - fingerstyle with flatwounds : https://youtu.be/FzEdibptL1I
  12. I have one of the Waterfall ones and they are really really good
  13. Absolute champion, messaging you now!
  14. Hello BCs I'm not sure where this topic would go. Basically I don't want to buy stuff online without trying it. I'm pretty intrigued by the Reverend Decision P and as I'm not willing to go all the way up to Glasgow to try one (they're out of stock right now anyway) I would like to know if it's too much to ask to go round someone's place near London who has one and play it, to see what my hands and ears think of it. Outrageous request? Hope everyone's well! Dave
  15. Does look great. I was in love with the idea of getting a 1962 version of this tele (I think that was the date) because I thought, all that bottom is gonna be wicked... then I couldn't face the cost so I bought one of those double humbucker ones from 2012. The neck one sounds totally killer but the bridge one wasn't happening so I put a musicman pickup there which really helps when you want some tops in there. Does look pretty tho
  16. thanks everyone! I'm checking this out... getting some mild GAS too... but trying to focus on self setup
  17. looks great what you getting? also, would you put that case in an airplane hold when flying?
  18. Yeah totally didn't clock the decison vs decision p thing... i don't like the idea of a polite sound i must say i have been digging the P Blade i've heard on vids... thank you!
  19. i can find them... it's this one tho
  20. Hello... so i got an opportunity to get a reverend decision p but it's not one of these new ones... it's the one with the P pickup that looks like a humbucker.. and im looking all over to find out why they changed it to the one the new one has but can't find info anywhere. Costs the same so... just wondering what the new pickup did to the sound and if there's anything else i should look out for. It's 4 and a half hours drive away and i don't own a car so... If anyone knows anything i'd love to know. Thank you!
  21. i like the idea of giving in to GAS obviously haha but i was hoping to restrict it somehow... IF it's genuinely the best thing to do tho.....
  22. I thought this yesterday as i parted with hard earned cash for some simple setup adjustments... but whenever i've tried in the past i've always fkd up the bass to a point where i have to take it to someone to fix what i've done.. any suggested learning videos or something?
