  1. If everyone died at 35 we would not have this problem.
  2. Yes. What surprises me more is that no one has even looked at it. Maybe the LEDs addition puts some people off. Anyway, lucky I am in no hurry to sell and the right player will see it eventually
  3. Hi Andy. You welcome to come and have a look. No pressure to buy. Cheers Paul
  4. Time for another bump I can't believe no one has even come to have a look and play...... oh well.
  5. Thanks for the interest but sorry, no courier. I really want the buyer to inspect and play the bass for long as they want and be totally happy with the deal. I would help out with some gas money if they have to drive a long way.
  6. I have been offered trades. Thanks for the offers but I have other basses and not been playing much lately, so not looking for another bass right now. Surprised no one has come to see it. I thought it was priced to sell. 😞
  7. I think that is the most probable reason, especially from those too far away to buy.
  8. Luckily I am not desperate to sell but I am not playing much at all now, so it seems such a waste of a great bass. If anyone interested is down this way, we have tea and biscuits.
  9. Thanks Pete, me too. Maybe the Stealth finish and the LED make it a bit unusual, but if anyone is worried about the LED work you shouldn't be. Martin's work is top class.
  10. She has to go so I have dropped the price. Now £1225 or near offer
  11. Thanks guys. I never thought I would part with this bass but times change and needs must.
  12. NOW SOLD Hi All. I am seeing if there is any interest in my 4H Stealth Black finish. Maple neck with Rosewood finger board. Unfortunately I do not have the work for her any more and it is time for someone else to enjoy. This was my gigging bass for several years so it is not a show pony. The Stealth Black finish on the bridge saddles has worn but could easily be refinished if it bothers you. There are a few small marks here and there and very light scratches on the back from use but you need to look hard to find them. Plays well with a low action. In 2014 I had Martin Sims ( Sims Custom Workshop https://www.sims.guitars/leds ) replace the side dots with red LEDS Martin pioneered retro fits WITHOUT removing the finger board and is well respected for his work. They run off the original battery with very low power consumption. The small black toggle switch on the control plate turns them on and off. Originally I used DR coated Black Beauties for the look but have had EB flats fitted for the last few years. As both coated and flats are kind to frets, they are in good condition. I will include an unused set of DR Black Beauties in the sale. Original hard case included. I have lost most of the case candy apart from the Allen key. I will try and get some better photographs up but the buyer will have to collect and you can have as much time as needed to inspect and play before parting with cash. I am 5 minutes from junc 9 M20 She has to go so I have dropped the price. Now £1225 or near offer. Thanks for looking.
  13. I have used these for the last 8 years or so. Before that I used Ampeg pre with a Class D Powerlight so I was familiar with class D and the risks involved, but the weight saving makes it worth it for me. Not long after the SVT7 warranty expired the amp developed a fault. I contacted Polar and they recommended Rob Huckin at Audio Circus. Rod made the repair at very reasonable price while I waited. The amp has done hundreds of gigs since then without a hitch. I think the main problem people have with class D repairs is finding an engineer that knows what they are doing. i was lucky. Rob knew exactly what the fault was and even had a replacement part in stock. Still using the same SVT7 paired with a BF Compact. Great combo for most gigs. But if I had a roadie I would use a classic
  14. My pedal board is not as grand as some here. It was a case that I added an angled plinth under it where the psu sits. The top two effects are vocals obviously. I mostly used it in the Hawkwind tribute I used to play in before Covid. Now I rarely use it at all because most of my work does not need it.
  15. Substitute the word earplugs for condoms and it describes how I ended up married the first time.
  16. I am in my 60's and had tinnitus since my mid 20's. At first I thought I was picking up radio waves or messages from Major Tom at night which is when I noticed it most, but later realised it was hearing damage. From school I worked in heavy industry including places where guys beat the crap out of 1/2 inch steel plate with sledge hammers all day. No hearing protection back then and I can remember the sound used to hurt sometimes. Then getting into bands in my late teens and being in the music industry in different roles for most of my life meant I always had somebody making a lot of noise close by. If not I would be the one pumping out 120 db. I had to stop mixing bands because I can't hear the tops clearly so tended to over compensate. I don't know if anyone else gets this but if I play in a loud band these days my ears will shut down after 20 mins and I can't hear the guitar or vocals clearly, it just becomes a distorted noise. Luckily bass frequencies are OK up to around 2k after that it gets a bit sketchy. In general life I can't hear conversation in a crowded room. I have to use headphones to hear the TV clearly, especially speech. I can't hear high pitch buzzing insects or a watch or a clock ticking.... etc.... etc.... No regrets, but it is a pain in the donkey having tinnitus.
