  1. Hi all, I lost my old profile some time back due to a lost phone number issued in a galaxy far far away. I now live in Leeds., still have a thing for old sounding basses and samples and I'm currently wondering if I might nevr own a bass amp again.
  2. Hi all, Is anyone using this in a live setting yet? I'm really very impressed with the way some of these captures somehow "feel" different. I've messed vst amps at home for decades at this point. These captures seem to knock the socks off things like the guitar rig/ amplitube et al style plugins. I lost a coupe of hours noodling around a lovely noble/b15 thing today. I also found very pleasingly squishy/thick aguilar/412, a fizzing Sound City capture and also skimmed through a bunch of perfectly fine sounding SVTs. They all sounded great going from tonext to di inot monitors. Is this tiny pedal relly the thing that finally does away with amps altogether?
  3. Hi everyone- I have a truss wheel problem with my Ernie Ball/musicman stingray (USA, 2000, 3 band). To cut to the chase- it fell out. - The long version. The stingray truss rod nut won't loosen, so I can't get more relief in the neck. It turns to the left freely. When I turn it right however, it will tighten the rod and there is an appropriate feeling of pressure. So being a curious cat, I took the neck off very carefully to have a closer look. With the neck off I turned the wheel to the left in my fingers and it was obviously loose. It turned as easy as an easy toothpaste cap might- Then it just came clean off. No snap, no pressure or resistance. It just screwed out. The end of the rod is covered in a big blob of what could be old grease (or possibly glue that has turned to mush?) The wheel doesn't appear to have any damage and will screw back in again. It goes back into place quite snuggly. But I can't get more relief in the neck. Any thoughts on how to fix this? I just want a touch more relief so I can dig in without the strings choking out/buzzing. - I've had it from new 20 years ago, in Taiwan. Taking it back to the shop isn't an option any more. I now live in Spain. The bass has always lived in hot/humid conditions. The neck appears to be dead straight (so no back bow). Ummm... ..any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks, Tom.
  4. I've got an "A" mij jazz bass, in the same vein as this. Much searching through Talkbass and bajistas.org (Spain) led me to understand that these were constructed in 1985. There's a story floating around that many might not have been finally assembled until a few years later while operations in Japan shifted from one factory to another. These basses absolutely sing.
  5. These basses are absolutely fierce!
  6. Hi-same question here. Is there a workaround for this? Thanks
  7. Sorry - it was early. PM now sent.

  9. Hi! Is this still for sale? I'm waiting on a HX stomp and if it comes through I'd want to snag this asap. I'm in Leeds. Cheers, Tom.
  10. I had one of these. It did just enough to make my band mates sound good and little enough that I didn't have to think. Then one day I swapped it for a shiny thing in a moment of weakness. Now I spend my time trying to make a shiny thing sound like a CIJ pbass. Highly recommended basses!
  11. Hello from Bilbao Albert!
  12. Thanks so much everyone! I'm really looking forward to trying it out in rehearsals this week.
