1. So as some of you may have seen http://basschat.co.uk/topic/203730-all-my-matamp-gear-stolen/ most of my Matamp gear has been stolen. Well I received a call from the police today and they've closed the case as they have no other leads. So luckily I was insured, the other guys weren't but I was (lucky me obviously) so while this maybe a mistake and I'm setting myself up for another fail (you never know how an insurance company is going to play ball) I need cheering up and I figure the best way to do that is to start planning what I can get as a replacement rig. Now a few things to bear in mind: There is no payout the insurance company will be sending a cheque/payment to matamp for replacement equipment I do want to stick with Matamp, I had the perfect amp, loved it to bits and they are a very supportive company Issues: The speakers that were in the 4x10 Matamp don't use/can't get anymore The red tolex is difficult to get, difficult to fit and largely the wrong colour They don't make the 2 band GT200 only the newer 3 band version, not a bad head but it does have a mildly different sound The new GT200 is wider than the old GT200 so the 2x12 they didn't get is too small to fit under the new heads The Bass 200 they took is completely irreplacable Mind set: Part of me just thinks, give it, get a combo, get an ultralight rig, you just passed an audition with a 20 year old Peavey TNT, find a way of getting the money back and just bank it as you'll never have a rig that good again. So even replacing it with a new GT200 and 4x10 won't yield the same results as before. Options So I've been left with a red 2x12 and a red 8x10, my thoughts are is try to sell the 2x12 as the new head won't fit under it, take a hit but heyho not the worst one you've taken this month. The 8x10 is a difficult sell, most people don't want one let alone a big red one, so take it to Matamp, get them to build me 2 new 4x10's with the speakers out of the 8x10 (the same speakers as my stolen 4x10) and between this and reusing the grills will massively reduce the cost of these cabs. Then just leave the 8x10 carcus at Matamp for them to make a cheap cab out of for some young player to have upon seeing it in the factory. Then I can get these new 4x10s and the new head all done in a matching colour (thinking white?) and then get the cross over'd 1x18 I'd considered before the theft, giving me 3 evenly sized cabs that can be 4x10, 8x10, 4x10/1x18 The only downside with the above is I recently left my band and really my amp requirement is at most a GT200 and 4x10 So guys thinking out loud, options, thoughts, colour schemes, comforting words etc Cheers
2. Cheers dude, I've got insurance in place, obviously the Bass 200 is pretty irreplaceable but they also don't make the 2 band one so if anyone wants to sell one let me know as I'd be interested to get it and then modify it to my old specs.
3. Keep an eye out guys I've had most of mine stolen from the Stockport area last night. http://www.tayste.co.uk/2013/03/28/the-day-all-my-gear-got-stolen/ If someone can post it on the Matamp forum that would be great
4. Could have sworn I put this up the other day but apparently didn't, no longer needed because I'm no longer in the band where I used this, great unit much better quality than some of the other unit's I've used in the past (T-Bone, Carvin etc) Comes with the transmitter, receiver, power supply, rack ears and a nice live in gator case for when you don't want to rack it. I'm not including headphones because that would be erm for lack of a better term gross. Unit in great condition but no box or instructions, that said if you can't figure out how to use it you may also need help tying your shoes and shouldn't really be making purchases on the internet Cheers
5. I've got 2 of the G30's I'm selling, after 6 years of being wireless I want to go back to a cable, I think this is largely due to the complexity of my setup over this time, wireless from the bass, wireless IEM, monitor racks etc etc just going bass - curly cable - head and cab Hit me up if you're interested, both are like new with box
6. Sold pending coffee tomorrow
7. http://www.ourinnocencelost.com/public_html/gain11oclock.mp3 http://www.ourinnocencelost.com/quimby/gain_1oclock.mp3 This is basically going through various degrees of gain and Quimby was using his Travis Bean bass on the recordings.

9. Back when Quimby owned it http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=SPsHWeoMhKI http://www.ourinnocencelost.com/quimby/rising_treble.mp3 http://www.ourinnocencelost.com/quimby/rising_bass.mp3
10. Yep and now sold, thanks for the kind words
11. Still looking to move this on, cutting back on all my gear and I oddly don't need 8 basses anymore.
12. No longer required, housed my bands IEM system, usual big rack flightcase condition, comes full of rack fittings and bolts with front and back rails, will get pics and measurements tomorrow. Case has 4 wheels 2 with brakes, front and back removable covers, front and back rails and 4 handles so is fairly easy to move even if you fill it with big lead sledge power amps
13. I just bought the pawn shop mustang today and have to say, possibly one of my best bass purchases over the years. To me it is the perfect shortscale bass can be very smooth and thumpy to very aggressive, it's like a p bass tonally only bigger (yet smaller but only physically) I haven't played a Gibson SG bass so you can take the above with a pinch of salt
14. Bought this from Quimby the other month for the following reasons: To improve my in ear mix by having a dedicated preamp for that For recording at the end of March To do ampless gigs To improve my live FOH sound with a dedicated preamp/eq Now I'm not in the band I was planning all of this for, hopefully joining another band soon, but none of the above will apply. Little bit heart broken but it gives me chance to reflect and sell what most people would consider excessive (because the amount of gear I have is excessive) Great condition, never left my practice room since I got it, comes with a matching orange flight case, works perfectly for all of the uses I mention above. Pics below It really is that Matamp sound in a small box, tbh part of me is tempted to pair this with something like a Berg IP cab but I don't want to get into the world of pain of trying to sell my 8x10 and 2 massive tube amps. More pics available on request
15. Again due to a major band change I won't be using this anymore. A really great unit and on a whole other level from the base level t-bone and carvin setups I've used in the past. Great condition, comes with rack ears, gator bag (for when not using the rack ears) obviously the transmitter and receiver. I'm not including any headphones because well that would be gross. After £300 for the setup, open to offers but not interested in any trades thank you.
16. The smallest and most accurate tuner available, absolutely fantastic and the only choice with some of the odd tunings I've had over the years. Trying to minimise and cut down, free up some cash etc, ideally note have a pedalboard so looking at some options (headstock tuners etc) Looks like this, velcro on the bottom and I've still got the box. Some more info http://www.turbo-tun.../manual-st2.htm Will part ex on a TC Electronic Tuner ideally the mini one.
17. Been my go to wall of doom fuzz/distortion (it is a distortion) for about 2-3 years now I think. Great big thick distortion, works with active or passive basses and doesn't loose any bass, hell with the 3 band eq it can really add some. No longer in the band I used this with so having a mass clear out of loads of stuff, minimising to the essentials and then starting again for a more middle of the road musical life Looks like this, great condition, got the box and everything Cheers
18. Barely used (I bought 2 one as a main and 1 as a backup) Velcro on the bottom of the receiver. Box and instructions etc included. Probably the best wireless I've ever used, I just want to rock the curly cable and be all old school. Cheers
19. Bought a new fender today, came with this, I already have all the gig bags I need. Apparently these are £40 new so £25 seems like a steal. Pic below
20. Due a massive change in circumstance, band, music etc I'm having a massive clearout and I only really use this in a band I'm not in anymore so time to get rid Great, condition, comes with the box, iPad 2 sleeve, iPad 3&4 sleeve, 2 power supplies (handy for one at home and one at the practice room) Other than that not a lot to say. Cheers
21. Somewhere between 10 and 20 its not particularly heavy. Happy to work something out
