1. play folk rock/irish do not choose to listen to that type of music (the exception being any songs we're learning at a given time), but +1 to Spike - So long as I'm playing I'm happy.
2. sounds like earthing to me too. Is everything as it should be inside?
3. he he he ........... makes me smile. I live, work and gig in central France - we're going out €250 minimum (4 piece), with the average for a wedding etc being around €500. I even know of one 6 (yes SIX) piece doing €120 a night. So keep smiling, you could be here ........................
4. OCD, has to be ........ that is just NOT right.
5. Russ, if you need a hand with the French let me know. I live, work (and gig) here..... (and I'm biased - My main bass is an ATK400!)
6. I reckon his new description is fair enough, and at least he's had the decency to take note of the feedback he's had.
7. Music Store have these but I have no idea what they're like.
8. Have had a BX1200 120 Watt combo (paper cone) for the last couple of years. Has held up ok but only really been used for practice (and two small gigs). My normal gig rig is a Warwick ProFet 5.1 + Warwick 410 and to be honest there is no comparison in the sound quality stakes - The Behringer makes bass(ish) noises, thats about as far as it goes. But then again the Behringer is much smaller and much cheaper. So all I can say is - my Behringer has proved reliable enough. Wouldn't buy one again but it works.
9.
I just think try and be yourself - not anyone else - play what you like to play and get as good as you can at it - keep an open mind but just do your thing, the only person you should really try and please if yourself - and if you think you need to practice some more then go and do it - if you don't, don't - it's really up to you. 10. standard EADG. WHY would I want anything else ??
11. my advice would be leave alone. As Nepheid says, too many alarm bells. If you must, then as has also been said you could ask to collect and offer to pay cash. Difficult for a dodgey seller to get out of that one.
12. Can't complain about the prices, or the fact they have always replied to my emails - delivery been a bit slow on occasions tho ....... and as has already been said NO TRACKING INFO. They DO text to let you know they have (supposedly) shipped tho (for what that's worth).
13. Voted "other" - Ibanez ATK Although a MM 5 string is close on the horizon ......................
