2.
I've been lookin at some Mightymite necks, so they do ship to UK then? I need a high quality neck for my P-bass, the other one I bought didnt last a year!
Your best bet is to watch ebay for good deals, there are usually a few on. They occasionally show up on here too. You might be able to ship from the US but I expect that could get expensive with postage, import duty etc
3. If it is likely to cost £100 I would consider a replacement neck - MightyMite are a very good straight swap and you could pick one up for well under £100, but depends if you want the genuine Fender.
4. OBBM (after breaking several "unbreakable" Pirahna cables )
5. Something to melt the adhesive maybe? If it were me I'd just go straight at it, rip/scrape as much off as possible, then power sand it to a point where nothing will show up through the tolex.
6. Is JV the same as the "silver series"?
7. Low mids and loud.
8. The pedal is only as good as the signal you feed it
9. IMO the ABM410 is a great bit of kit when pushed with the ABM head. It's just big and heavy...
10. My old band were good enough and got enough gigs that we rarely practiced, except when we wrote a few new tunes. 3-4 hour full band practice once a week with personal rehearsal inbetween is enough IMO.
11.
not funny due to being depressingly accurate
+1
12.
No. New cab, new list!
Then location-wise can it at least start where the last one finished? I'm in Runcorn, if I could be added to the list please.
13.
? Generally Hartke have a great reputation for reliability. A local shop near me changed from Ashdown to Hartke because of all the returns he was getting and is still stocking them to this day. I had 2 heads and 4 cabs, all of which got gigged regularly and the only problem was with the VX215 - needed some screws to secure the baffle board

I seem to recall that when I was starting out way back in the day, Hartke was a 'must have' piece of kit along the lines of Trace Elliot etc... a piece of gear that you'd aspire to own no less. It's amazing how gear comes in and out of favour and fashion. Suddenly everyone wants Hartke again now that Victor Wooten is an endorsee...

I was thinking the opposite, if I turned up to play and it was a Hartke rig supplied that would be great. I'm not surprised the OP was so happy with his sound. I know they don't cost as much as a lot of the exotic stuff but, to my ears, they sound great, can take a pounding and (in my experience at least) has always worked. Greg
I'm just quoting from experience, I've never played through any Hartke equipment that worked
14. Are you not continuing from the list in the other thread?
15. xxxx0303 dates to march 2003
16.
Because of the small numbers, I couldn't bring myself to be arsed to unload my rig so I used the house rig - a slightly battle scarred Hartke HA3500A head and an equally road worn Hartke VX 4x10 and I have to say it sounded absolutely bloody marvelous. Thoughts please....
The fact that you played through a Hartke that actually works astounds me.
17.
I doubt it's that as it was working about an hour ago, went to have dinner, came back and it's kaputz!
A fuse blows instantly, not over dinner. First point of call is always the fuse.
18. The guys in the band love it for some reason, apparently anything that is slapped is "funk"... I can't stand it and wish I could unlearn it

Abm 2x10

The dimensions IIRC are pretty good for a pair of Eminence beta 10 or deltalite 2510, but would probably need the port tuning changing.
20. I'd look for a UK ABM. Aside from the quality difference, the EQ and valve drive will really help you out in such a dense mix. A 2x10 should be loud enough, unless you're practicing at really stupid volumes. 3 guitarists? Really? In fact: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=86512
