  1. I bought this bass through here in November but unexpected bills have led me to sell it, regrettably. Bound maple neck, rosewood fretboard with block inlays, I'm unsure of the origin of the neck but it's pretty comfortable. Body is from a 1989 Japanese Squier, made of walnut I believe. Body is pretty worn here and there, which I suppose is expected of a nearly 30 year old bass. Pickups are Nordstrand big splits - These sound absolutely huge. Delivery options are the same as with the Fender I've got up for sale currently: I can meet within reason but pick up is preferred. I can't get the bass couriered for a few weeks but will if absolutely necessary. Cash only, no trades thanks. This is a truly special instrument, at least to me. I can't imagine a better fretless sound than this bass. 2. Had this for nearly a year and it's been a fantastic bass. I'll probably regret selling this but I can't justify having three Jazz's right now and I need funds for my house next year. All stock as far as I know, lovely attention to detail in the relic'ing by Fender. It's currently strung with a set of flats that have been on since October and sound lovely. Bass is currently in Leeds but I travel between here, Manchester and Wrexham/Chester regularly. 3. Way Huge Pork Loin is a good soft clipping overdrive. I use it with two of my basses (one with flats, one with rounds) and it performs equally well, though differently, with each. I personally don't use any effects with flats except overdrive occasionally. Adds a bit more warmth while subtly bringing out some overtones. 'Beefs' up the tone when necessary
  4. Saw him in Manchester a week or so ago, one of the best gigs I've been to in a long time. Great player in terms of technicality and musicality, fantastic performer and an impressive portfolio of work to boot. I'm not a fan of bass 'soloists' by any stretch (Wooten etc), but I think Thundercat is great. Even when he's not laying down basslines, his unique sound definitely contributes to the overall sound in a way another instrument couldn't. I'd consider it 'bass' but he does expand into different approaches to the instrument, but in a relevant and cohesive way.
  5. It does indeed, such a nice instrument to play. Nicely balanced and everything sits just right under the fingers.
  6. I don't blame you for withdrawing it Karl, it's gorgeous This is here if you change your mind
  7. £700 +postage Trades for Sandberg California VM4 Thinning off my basses a bit as I currently own 3 Jazzes and I'd like something a bit different. Great bass, believe it's from 2013, I bought it second hand last year and it's been a great instrument, used live several times since as a backup to my main bass. The relic work on this bass is stunning, attention to detail is fantastic. Currently set up with some flats but I'll throw in a new pair of strings if the bass sells this week Collection from either Leeds, or Wrexham (from 9-22 April) or I can arrange a courier at the buyers expense if necessary. 8. Dan bought a Aguilar Compressor off me. Quick transaction and had a nice chat, no problems. Deal with confidence!
  9. Price includes postage, boxed. Don't want to sell this pedal but needs must (I'm a poor student). I've only had it for about a month and I love it but I'm currently pretty strapped so it has to go, last in, last out etc etc. I plan on buying another one in the future as it's such a great comp, best I've tried. You don't need me to tell you how it's a quality compressor as it has a pretty good reputation as it is really, I'm based in Leeds but I travel between here and North Wales often. Good condition with box. Needs to go ASAP. Cheers
  10. I suppose a lot of their product range are clones, but then again I can't think of many companies that don't clone pedals, or at least recreate them in their own way. As for price, you're paying what you think it's worth. Yes, they probably cost about £20 for components and retail at £200 but you're paying for the idea, the time spent making them, and the quality of the product etc etc. They are independent companies, after all.
  11. I've got the Muffuletta (6-way muff fuzz) and it's great, no complaints about it whatsoever. I don't see much bashing of the company, they're normally well regarded in terms of quality high end gear, I can only imagine that it's a case of people moaning about the price. I've never played a 4 wheeler but the demo's for it seem pretty cool. I was going to get one but ended up with the Muffuletta, give one a go if you have the chance (I'm biased)
  12. How are you finding it?
  13. From what I know, Joe doesn't use any pedals. His tone (particularly on songs like Dean Town) is VERY compressed. In addition to what everyone has said above about strings and amps etc, a lot of his tone is how he plays the bass in terms of articulation and attack. Most of the 'overdrive' on this is probably just his signal breaking up slightly due to digging in so hard.
  14. Hmm interesting. I know it's a very unique sound like most Earthquaker pedals, but can it do more traditional chorus tones as well? I haven't been able to find many people who've used it with bass. Would you recommend it? Cheers for the reply
  15. Has anyone had any experience with bass, in terms of low end loss?
  16. [attachment=237052:16387111_1184632838320476_5310651446775892784_n.jpg] Mint condition and boxed. Great flanger but not really using it as much as I thought I would. Looking for £65 posted or £60 collected from Leeds. I'll take some pictures if anyone needs to see them. Cheers

  18. Just a feeler, as I really love this pedal but it's not seeing as much as use as I thought it would when I bought it a couple of months ago. Small chip in paint on the front but otherwise great condition (complete with the false teeth inside!). I believe it's the Silicon version (red LED). Based in Leeds and Wrexham but happy to post with usual conditions blah blah blah. Cash preferred though I will trade for Sansamp Bass Driver or Darkglass VMD [attachment=234919:Screen Shot 2016-12-31 at 17.27.16.png]
