Thanks for the replies. I know I can’t expect the SS stuff to sound like the valve one, but Valves are out of question both for money and weight reasons… Anything I should check or to beware as regarding the AH250?

I guess I'm in the right place as I have the need to ask opinions about Trace Elliot heads.. Since I've relocated I'm currently with no band, gigs..nothing in sight and I'm just enjoying playing home for my own pleasure. So no need to move gear around, no gigs etc. I sold all my stuff except a nice Accugroove Tri 112L cab that I want to pair with a Trace Elliot head. I have never owned a Trace but I remember plugging' in a valve combo of theirs in the mid 90' as one of the most delicious sound I've ever heard. So I need something to use at home or at the occasional rehearsal/small venue gig. I've come across two that are local to me: 1) a GP7 150 SM head claimed to be NOS never used --- about 300 euros but I can talk some down 2) a used AH250 mosfet 11band EQ ----- 200 euros Please educate me.. pros/cons, what to look at, anything... Thanks

Up for sale my 2015 Fender Road Worn Jazz bass. Not much to add as these are well known pieces of gear: custom shop quality with a mexican price tag. This has an amazing dark rosewood fingerboard not the anemic pau ferro you see on the post 2016 production. Lovely straight neck with a 1.5mm action at the 12th fret. Has an Omega Bass bridge fitted but the original vintage one is included in the sale. Comes with an hardshell case and 1000 GBP (or 1170 euros) include shipping via Express Courier to your door (only EU Countries and UK). No trades, please.

Just realized that someone possibly skip this thread because of the H. Gastelum neck reference in the thread title, thinking it is some sort of custom neck made outside Fender factory. Again, this is an ALL ORIGINAL piece, totally made in 1984 at Fullerton. Please spend some time reading the two links in the first post regarding the Dan Smith era at Fender's Fullerton Facility and the story of Herbie Gastelum. Herbie was the trainer of Custom Shop Master Builder John Cruz, among others. I know there's a stigma over 80's Fender but that's totally BS...these are GREAT instruments that leave in the dust most of the praised 70's pieces which go for a lot of money more.

Up for sale an all original USA 1984 Fullerton made Fender Jazz bass. For those not familiar with Fender history this is an outstanding piece of the Dan Smith era. Read this: https://reverb.com/news/interview-fender-visionary-dan-smith-on-how-to-turn-around-a-faltering-guitar-brand Also the neck is a very sought after one made by Herbie Gastelum, the neck wizard, the undisputed King of Feel who worked at Fender from 1961 until his retirement on 2017. Read here: https://www.fender.com/articles/artists/longtime-fender-neck-guru-herbie-gastelum-retires-after-56-years The feel if the neck is INCREDIBLE. Bass is in superb condition, all original, weight 4 kg. on my bathroom scale and comes with the original hard case. Price includes shipping in EU and UK.
