1. 90's American made SVT3PRO. Bought by me new from Sound Control Otago Street Glasgow, many years ago now, flightcased ever since, amazing A1 condition. Only ever used for upright bass. Tubes changed middle of 2007. Never had any issues whatsoever with this head, It has always been 100% reliable. Buying a bigger rig, wish I could keep this, It sounds so much better than the new ones, but can't justify It. Any test/inspection welcome. A1 condition. Welcome to try out, cabs here at home to try out with your bass.. Would prefer local sale, I'm near Glasgow. Looking for £375 ono as I need to raise funds quickly to pay for my new EA rig. Sale is for Amp only, does not include rack case.
2. I've had a Shen SB100 I bought from the now ceased trading Norton Customs in the US. Brent's basses were beautiful Light weight, very well made bass. Nicely finished, has good bottom end, and projects well. Very happy with mine, made in 2003 and still going strong after being gigged for years. Only upgrades I made were a new thick endpin and a Pecanic tailpiece, strung with Innovation RAB E and A strings, and Gotz gut G & D. Lovely bass to play. for those of you not familiar with Brent's work, www.nortoncustoms.com

4.
I'm selling my 90's American made flightcased SVT3PRO just now, the ah1000-12 was one of the amps on my shortlist for a new one. Would you be willing to sell the head on It's own?Or is the 3PRO of any interest to you trade-wise.
Eddy, trying to send you a private message, but I'm getting error report for some reason?? Can you e-mail me [email protected] Thanks, Sy.

9. Can't believe I just bought a silver face db410, cause I couldn't get hold of a tweed one at the time......... Or I'd have taken this off you........... This is such a bargain, It's an amazing sounding cab, even at full price, but for £400, what a deal! Good luck with the sale.
10. Check out Rockabillybass.com for good feedback ideas. I've got 2 laminates and a carved top, through the years I've tried everything, from high density foam between the tailpiece and body, to sealing the f-holes with foam too. Now It's careful EQ'ing, choice of pickups and a good preamp. I'm using the D-TAR Solstice as a pre, and as much as It sounds nice, the Realist does not like volume. I still use my Underwood, much louder than the Realist, more aggressive sounding, also the Rev Solo 11 is about the same output as the Underwood, just a bit more natural sounding. Just my two cents..........
11. Just got rid of an Ampeg 410 HLF 4ohm, traded for a DB410. The Aguilar blows the Ampeg out of the water, no matter what kind of sound you want........Just my 2 cents...........
12.
Can I ask if you think the E and A are better than on Weedwackers (if you have tried them)? I have put a set of Weedwackers on my DB and after a month or two of settling in they are still too quiet and undefined for my liking. Thx
I love the sound of plain gut E and A, not so much the weedwacker E and A. Just more fundamental with the guts, but for me, I find they just don't have enough sustain, and I can't dig into them. They are OK amplified, but not for me when played acoustic. I use Innovation Rockabilly or Silver Slap E and A strings with plain gut G and D strings(weedwackers are very similar) to get a balance I like.

14. I have and older American made SVT3PRO in unmarked condition. Only ever used for upright bass. It a mid/late 90's model, definately the best ones, serviced and re-tubed about a year ago. Don't know if you'd consider this for a P/X?
15. If you like them, they're great for the money. poor man's gut strings. They behave quite like gut, once they are stretched in they hold their tuning a little better than gut, especially at a hot humid gig and they don't need the same care as guts to make them last. I just find the E and A a little flubby, but if they amplify well, a great set of strings for the dosh. They don't snap easily, as long a your nut and bridge are neat with no sharp edges etc. I used similar Rad Dragon strings in the 90's and they lasted for years.
16. Sorry for not being more specific guys, It is indeed the BASS version. Great bit of gear, but I can't resist my new purchase and need to fund it!
17. Bought It, used It once. Brand new, in box with full instructions. £85 shipped in U.K. Got the chance of buying a new setup, only reason for sale.

20. Sold Pending the usual. Thanks Team-stereo.
21. Great condition, only gigged 5 times. Bought late last year from Sound Control Glasgow. Only used for double bass, so never abused. Definately suits electric bass better than my upright. Sold the last of my electric basses, so I'm afraid It's got to go. £380 firm. I'm near to Glasgow for your info.
22. Any chance I could pick your cab up cab next week please?Just got shot of my Ampeg rig, I'm chocka with work or I'd be down right away, I'll drive down from Glasgow this Thursday the 24th or Friday the 25th ???????whatever suits? I'd be so greatful if you could. That's my first day off from work unfortunately!!!! Also, Can I try the cab out when I arrive? Thanks, Sy. Totally skint Rockabilly family guy trying to justify new G.A.S. Was going with DB212 as we couldn't afford the Db410, but my wife might just go for this!! Hopefully!
