  1. Yeah, it's more versatile tonally than I'd imagined. If you wind off the neck pickup it's quite a funky animal. I'm just in danger of breaching the terms of the strict instrument quota that's been set by El Presidente!
  2. I bought this on Basschat quite recently, put on some new strings and got it professionally set up. It sounds exactly like it should - instant Billy! It plays really well and is in great condition with no chips. Some slight marks on the back but that's all. The truth is I just have too many basses and whilst I'm a great admirer of the man himself, the reality is that I'm unlikely to play this one. It'll come in a padded bag and I can ship it within the UK for £15. Incidentally, the truss rod cover is now back in place, it was on the luthier's workbench! I've added some pics of the neck because I've been asked about it. It has some 'string bending' marks but nothing major...and there's part of the join between fingerboard and neck that's slightly more defined than the rest. I can't get a fingernail to catch on it so there's no serious problem there. ...AND...the nut is 40mm wide, I've been asked that too. 3. I have the TRB II fretless and it sounds, and plays incredibly well. I've no idea why this hasn't been snapped up...honestly folks these things are easily £1000's worth of quality.
  4. I'm 20 minutes away from you LewisK1975. I'm gigging this afternoon in a place that's 15 minutes away. I don't need it. I can't afford it. I have no room for it. PM'd you
  5. My collection has grown again and this is still here - £300...anyone?? I'd swap for a Cort A4.
  6. Bump - I have one just like it - words cannot express how well it plays and how great it sounds. Don't hesitate guys, this is the gig not the rehearsal!
  7. Oh my word! bump, I say BUMP!
  8. Don't be fooled by how pretty it is guys. I have an '83 just like it - although I went completely black - and the pickup is way more aggressive than my '78.
  9. I bought the other one from Lozz. It's a wonderful beast. If only I had another grand....
  10. I bought one of these a couple of years ago. Words cannot describe how good it is to play - and it sounds fantastic. Somebody grab it!
  11. Price drop £325 - there's no more room at the Inn!
  12. I had no interest on the forum with my A5 RickW, it's on the bay right now if you want to track it and see what it goes for. Stunning basses with an even more stunning sound. String spacing's a bit close for me which is why it's going.
  13. These basses are real 'under the radar' gems . The sound of the Bartolini system is so good that I got it retro-fitted into my USA Jazz. I don't use this any more because that Jazz has now become my main instrument and I need to free up some space. I'm based in South Wales, I can possibly ship this but may have to wait for a box to become available.
