This looks interesting, are there any issues re bandwidth i should be aware of? Our singer uses a wireless mic and i don't want to cause any confusion. Otherwise I'm interested and could arrange a bank transfer. I'm going on holiday for a week from this Saturday, but will confrim before i go away.

Always fancied one of these, but I can't justify another cabinet .....................................................
But like you I can't believe this hasn't gone!!!!
Come on folks, John is a great guy and an even better bass player; so let’s get this moving before I surrender to my temptation.

How do I describe sound, let me see?
I would sat that I like my sound to be clean most of the time, but I do use the `grind' knob, which doesn't really add what I'd call distortion, but a warmth.
I don't know if the valve is failing, it may just be me, but I thing I'm having to use more gain these days. Mind the Amp wasn't used for a long while whilst I had my EBS td650. Now I either use the Ashdown or Eden.

Hi
I've had my ABM 500 since early 1999, with no issues at all.
I've tried the later heads and some sound `mushy' in comparison. I'm just wondering whether I should change the pre amp valve and if so with what?
Just thought it would be a good idea to get some your views before going into the Amp.

Thanks Mr Tinman, I to feel happier going for the speakon / daisy chain option.
Just wanted to check as i usually only use one 4 ohm cab with the WT405, but using 2 for a couple large out door venues coming up.

On a similar line, I have an Eden WT405 with only one speakon output and jack output. Is there any difference between using the two outputs for each cab or daisy chain the cabs?
I know it may sound like a stupid question, but hey, I am stupid!

Just traded a Jazz fretless for his Sandberg JJ5: had a trip to to Jim's; nice bloke, hassle free transaction (I also think he has a cool dog) and a cuppa from the elusive `Mrs J'.
I'm very pleased with the Sandberg and can't wait to Gig it.
Thanks again for your hospitality.

I bought one to use with my NS NXT 4, and it does the job, however, I also use it as a practise amp with my 4 and 5 string basses and it's got such great tone for a small amp, I really love it.

Well here I am again!
Just bought Mark's EBS Session 60: he stated in the for sale thread that it had only been out of the box once, could have fooled me, it may never have been out of the box as came perfectly packed with all the original packing etc. I must say that I'm really pleased, sounds good with both 5 string and my EUB.
Many thanks for making this an easy purchase, it's as good as new.

Thanks for the reply guys; the guitar is with my local repair man, so I can't get the details at the moment. I'll be in contact if he can't get the right pot.
Howard, i lost your number when my last phone died, I'll PM you later.

Hello Folks
I'm not electrically minded and I need a centre indented tone pot for my Sandberg: what do I need and where can I get one?
Many Thanks

PM's replied.
I thought the bass was `noisy' with the original preamp; Jazzes are noisy and I was only used to passive basses and didn't realise that a preamp doesn't help ...... doh!!!! Also anyone who has had a look under the pickguard of a Miller bass would be surprised at how untidy the original electronics are? I did make a note of the original wiring so it is easily replaced.
I'll weight the bass when I can get to some scales, it's not that heavy in my opinion; mind you I have a couple of heavy basses so maybe I'm not the best judge?
As for trades, sorry folks I'm not looking at Music Man basses and I'm only interested in 5 strings, I have some nice 4 string basses that don't get played enough as it is; if I change my mind I'll let you know.
I've had some very interesting offers; I just love this site.

Hello fellow BC'ers
I'm thinking about trading my Marcus Miller 5 string, with John East MM preamp; the bass I do love, however, I'm not sure about the `active circuit' in that I'm using my USA passive 5 more often as I prefer the sound!!! Crazy I know. So I thought it might be an idea to see if anyone was interested in a trade for something Jazz'like, 5 string, and passive, or not as `hot' as the Marcus Miller. I have the original preamp, which will go with the bass.

Don't post the `you have to state a price' comment as at this point it's trade only. If I see something I want to purchase then I might consider selling.

I have a 4 string in shedua, can't think of why anyone would have it refinished in black? Gorgeous bass and I would love something like your 5 string to match with the 4.

You shouldn't ship a live guitarist as it's too costly; play you bass as loud and deep as possible, which will stop his heart, then you can repackage him in something that's cheaper to ship. If the idea of doing this is too much, then you must appreciate your guitarist and want to keep him!
I've never been able to stay in a Band which makes me unhappy and I've been luck enough to find a Band which has helped improve my playing; playing with musicians who are better than yourself is the best thing ever!
