1. Not sure if ive still got them.
2. Thinking of getting rid of my early 90's 63 re issue fender japan bass, fitted with emg pick ups. Few marks etc. What would be a good price ?
3. I had one for a while, but found it lacking a bit in volume. Also it distorted to much for my liking when driven much over half way. Also ran mine with 2 1x15 peavey cabs.
4. Used to have a tnt as well, great ballsy sound. Just not enough volume.
5. This one was for sale last year in cornwall http://www.modernmusic.co.uk/collectibles_...currie_bass.php
6. Weird really in the states you get the impression peavey are the working bass players amp of choice. Must admit the late 80's early 90's torquise lettered front's look nasty
7. Sorry have i lowered the tone
8. Peavey do a 2x10 for about 159 ponds from G.A.K
9. Im using a 400 watt late 70's head at the moment, its as loud as hell. Most gigs, it doesnt need turning up past 3. I do use a sansamp with it, but sound wise it doesnt sound much different than the svt3 i had a while back. Maybe my ears have had it

jazz basses

Best jazz i had was a jap 63 re issue, which i still have. Got rid of a yank 62 re issue, that sounded really dull and muddy much like my mexican precision. Got a squire vintage modified jazz last year, and to be honest was 10 times better than the american jazz i had.

SX jazz necks

A couple of years, like i say have not used it more than a dozen times live etc. strings are bass centre mediums and i play with a pick
12. Im thinking of ordering a sx jazz neck as the allparts one on my precision frets have had it, i would like to say its down to endless playing etc. But its hardly used, maybe the fret wire is made from toffee ?
13. Almost forgot the american 62 re issue jazz  What a plank of wood that was.
14. Only difference in spec i could see was the normal esp had an ash body and the ltd had a swamp ash body.
15. Have just ordered a ltd one from G.A.K, heres hoping its not a pile of poo
16. Yeah the ltd is the one i heard being played. But checking the specs of both basses it doesnt look like theres hardly any differance.
17. Anyone played one ? saw the guy from rival schools playing one a couple of weeks back and it sounded brilliant. A bit like a musicman but with a little extra. Loved my old musicman but the neck was just to wide for me. This one looks like its got more of a jazz neck on it.
18. Hows it going? Been playing on and off for 20 odd years. done covers and original stuff. Stuff i use are a 91 jap 63 re issue jazz, squire vintage jazz and a mixture of jazz and precision alparts bass. Amp is an old 1980 peavey head and 2 15 cabs. Stuff from the past have been musicman, ricki 4003, horrible mex precision, peavey stuff fender bassman and ampeg amps. not always sure the most expensive stuff is the best (although i do miss the svt pro 3 and rickenbacker) dont think i'll ever get my head around fenders prices though.
