How did you find these strings when they was on your bass for the hour? How do they compare to spiros? Cheers

The time has come for me to pass on this bass to a new owner. I have to fund an album and I already own two other basses that fill my current needs. I tend to favour gamba shaped basses at present. It's hard to say where this bass is from but I have been told by two different luthiers that have worked on it may be of Mediterranean origin. Their is a repair signature inside suggesting a repair in Lisbon '93 The varnish is not original this was the look of the bass when I bought it. It's a great sounding bass. Loud, full and even. Eb neck. Flat back with upper angle slope. Marvin wire tailpiece, I have the original ebony one as well which will come with the bass. Measurements in inches Upper 19.5 Mid 14 Lower 26 String 41 Rib 8.5 Lob 43 The bass is located near Gatwick. Any Qs drop me line...

Here's a great big 3/4 size double bass hard case made of fiber glass. With black furry inner lining. Great if you need some serious protection for your instrument. I'm moving abroad so it's time for me to sell some of my basses starting with this unlabelled German bass. Sounds great. Bright, full and even. No rattles or problems currently strung with medium Helicore Hybrids. Beautifully carved flamed wood. Flatback. Bright, full and clear sound. One of the shoulders has been cut down at some point in it's life which gives a slight wonky look but the bass is sound.
