1. It is a beauty, but i just know it wont get the attention it deserves when my AB1 arrives, i wish i could justify keeping it around but things got a bit out of hand with this new builds spec and to be honest i could do with the cash now!
2. My new build is nearly done so here's another Dingwall i'm going to let go, wish i could justify keeping this one... Z2 trans black, birdseye maple fret board, Glockenklang 3 band Preamp, i think its a 2014 based on the pickups. I think this is a looker and it plays just as great as it looks, some things to note are.... There is a very small and faint scratch on the body its so fine you cant feel it when running your finger over it but can just about feel it with a finger nail there is a picture of it below. The second thing is there is a slight scratch on the volume nob (these are available to buy from Bass Direct for £4.50 so not a big problem) and the third thing is the bass is currently tuned to A standard using Kalium Strings, i had the nut slot on the E and B widened slightly, the few times ive put a standard set on and used it in B its been fine but worth mentioning. A replacement nut fitted would only be about £25/£30 if you wanted to put it back to standard only anyway. The bass comes with the Dingwall branded Levy's case and all the tools it came with. Here's a link to the original listing at Bass Direct that includes the full spec - http://www.bassdirec...Blackburst.html Im happy to ship this and il cover that cost if its UK, will be standard UPS, if you wanted someone else or extra insurance that would be down to you, or you are more than welcome to collect. Happy for anyone to come and try it too, im based in Essex. Been chatting to Mark at Bass Direct and im considering sending this and the AB1 i have listed up there for them to sell so im open to making a deal on this or that one ASAP as it will probably work out better for me so if you like either of these drop me a message might be able to find a good price for both of us. This is now at Bass Direct with Mark so please contact there if interested.
3. Little more off the price...
4.
Definitely quality over quantity
Thanks
Excellent. Remain ever tempted to buy another Cali but just know I will sell it on again, like every bass compressor iv had! Polytune and Ultra on my board too, I'll rustle up a pic...
The Cali plays very nicely with the Ultra, i love it but before i got the Ultra i was starting to wonder about it...
Gigrig on top as new homemade board isn't large enough underneath to fit
Nice! How you finding the Ultra? Ive always been a B3K guy over the B7K, despite mainly having a B7K on the board but this thing kills both of them i'm finding, having the ability to cut some 500hz and the master volume has opened up a world of possibilities for me and i didnt expect to be blown away by the clean side to be honest but its pretty epic!
5. Another change... Not the most exciting board on here but boy does this combo sound good.
6. I like that a lot!
7.
My Ultra should be with me tomorrow, man the wait has felt long
Got mine yesterday, its fairly epic! First show with it tonight. Edit - Yeah its seriously good, as great as the B7K is there was always something i wanted from it i couldn't quite get, the mid frequency shift gets me there on this. Also feels like there is more bottom end or more openness about the bottom end on the ultra, hard to explain but whatever it is i like it, a lot!
8. [s]Latest Version of the B7K, perfect condition, only a few months old - £185 post[/s] - SOLD [s]A US Vintage, good condition, not sure how old but i picked it up from here last month, same price i paid - £120 posted[/s] - SOLD
9. bump
10. Got one of these I no longer need, less than a year old, good condition with Velcro on the bottom. £45 including shipping.
11. I've got 2 5 string sets of Newtone strings in great condition, both are stainless steel with hex cores from the Diamond range. First set are gauges 46 - 60 - 80 - 118 - 140 tapered, the tapers are quite short around 3.5/4cm, i asked for that to keep any weird overtones sometimes associated from tapered strings and it worked great, these havent had much playing, they are one of a few sets i ordered trying to find the right gauges. These will fit basses up to and including Dingwall scale. Next are a set of 47 - 63 - 82 - 120 tapered - 142 tapered, same short tapers and same scale as before, again in good condition, had very little playing these ones. £11 posted for each set or £20 for both I also have a 140 untapered which i had on for about a minute, wasnt a fan of it but i am happy to throw that in to either set for free if you want it.
12.
I wonder if LaBella could be approached about making a set? I've heard of people ordering other custom length sets from them, so they might be open to the idea.
Yeah they will, there's a guy on a Dingwall Facebook page who had them make a set about a month ago, i think ive heard of others getting flats for Dingwalls from them before too.
13. Cheers mate, glad you're liking the NG2!
14. £11 Posted Kalium 5 string set, Hybrid Nickels, long scale (will fit up to 37 inches), Gauges - 142 Tapered - 118 Tapered - 82 - 63 - 47 Probably a little over a months playing at most, decent condition still.
15. £45 Posted 4 U Spider Rack case, 36cm Deep (rackable space). This is in great condition, only a few months old, this is slightly shallower than a standard case so nice and compact but will fit pretty much anything in it unless the items very deep.
16. Duplicate Please Remove
17. Little bit of a change up over the last week, this little lot is sounding pretty nice.
18.
What size board is that? Pedaltrain mini or metro something or other?
Its a Metro 24, quite tight but just about fit that lot.
19. Back to using a board rather than the rack, think i'm settled although a B7K Ultra is a possibility?
20. Thats lovely!
