1. I brought one a few months ago, direct from 64. Took a couple of weeks to arrive, ordered a couple of the flexible nozzles too. Been useful. Not something I use every day but handy to have for the occasional deep clean.
2. Mine landed this morning. Luckily, I've had a day off for a long long weekend so them dropping through the door was good timing. Haven't spent long with them but initial thoughts are that they're AN AWFUL LOT of ear candy for not a lot of money. Considering the cost of them, they sound pretty impressive. I A/B'd them against my 1964 Ears V8s. TBH, the V8s sounded far more convincing, controlled and "expensive" than the KZ10s but given the huge cost differences, I'd not be surprised. But, and here's the but, whilst the KZ10s sounded more "agricultural" in the upper mids and top end, a bit of EQing sorted some of that out. They've massive low end. Really impressive for such a cheap pair of phones. Again, pulling back a tiny bit of the lows really helped tighten things up. All in all, I can't believe how good these are for the money.
3. This is why I've brought a set. Love using my V8s where it's nice and safe at work but there's other places I'm less convinced of plugging in such an expensive pair of head candy. Have a pair of UE900s as a spare set but the KZ10s are just too good a deal to pass up. Don't expect them to be in the same league as the V8s but for an "out and about" pair, more than happy to take a punt. I've already primed the others in the band who are using Shure SE535s and 425s. Maybe they'll offer more drivers for less dollar for the others.
4. Ooooooo. Didn't know there was a pool of user patches on Talk Bass. Would be interesting to take a look and try some out. Have you got a direct link?
5. This. I do find the bank switching a right PITA and also moving backwards between patches. Even now, will occasionally hit the left hand change button and forget to hit the right hand one to activate the patch. Do understand what you say about using it live. Do find I have mixed results. With the band, where we use our own PA, I've got my IEMs in and we've spent time getting the levels / EQ right, sounds great. Like last night at a rehearsal in a small room with a crappy bass rig, did struggle to hear the nuances.
6. I've had one on my board for a good 18 months now. Don't really feel I've scratched the surface of it but then again, that's probably my fault. Remember spending a couple of hours with it when I first had it, cycled through all the individual patches and found a few that I liked/could use but TBH, most of them I personally wouldn't have a need for in my band. Feel like it's one of those pedals where you need to put a shift in to knock the presets into shape. As @EBS_freak has said, the tracking takes some getting used to but hey, that's part of the fun. I'd class most of the presets as unusable but the handful I do use are really good. As convincing as a "proper" synth? No, of course not, but for me, having those additional tonal options on the pedal board if I need them is really useful.
7. Have just pulled the trigger on a pair of ZS10s from Geekbuying. At that kinda price, can't go wrong, even if I use em as spares.
8. Ooooooooo! Just had a look at these on eBay. Like @EBS_freak says, worth a punt for that price, even if I use them as back ups to the V8s. The only downside is the delivery times.
9.
Hearing aid vac. 64 actually sell one on their site. EDIT - here it is - https://www.64audio....di-Vac-Consumer
Pricey but if it works, all is good in the hood. Need to order one of those once payday swings around.
10. Need to get my 1964 V8s cleaned. Over time, bits of wax have accumulated in the ports. The cleaning tool supplied has been semi successful but it's managed to push bits of wax further into the ports. Can't actually get to some of it now and I'm worried it's starting to affect the output of some of the drivers. Any ideas?
11.
Naughty. Next question... colour scheme... design? (As you know, thats the hardest decision to make)
Dunno yet, no idea. Hadn't even thought that far ahead. As it's the B-Team, maybe something from the standard colours to keep the cost down. Unless there's an orange or a blue sparkle. I'm a sucker for a bit of sparkle! lol
12. Have just pulled the trigger on a pair of UE900s. A few pennies under £130 delivered. Can't go wrong with that. Will look at the whole reshelling thing now, see what's involved.
13.
Yes - they went to Paul at the Custom IEM Company - he deals with it all and they get reshelled in good ole Florida at Inearz. They have done a great job and the whole process was hassle free.
How long does the reshell take to do? Could really do with a pair of 900s as a spare and getting them reshelled would make em more useful for travelling and work where I don't want to risk losing the V8s.
14. Bump. Still available, still looking for trade or sale!
15. Sunday afternoon bump. Looking at cash or open to trades. Ideally a Stingray of some sort but open to other things. Hit me up, can only say no.

Which DI ?

I've been IEM'd for the past couple of years. Having used EBS back line for years, I went and brought myself an EBS Microbass II. Gave me all the EBS'ness I loved but right into the desk and in ears. Like with backline, LOADS of options out there. Maybe try something industry standard such as the REDDI, the Bassswitch or the Avalon. Nothing bad in that bunch, just varying shades of different.
18. Hi all, For sale/trade is my Spector Euro4 LX in Plum Stain. Been thinking of this for a few months now, nothing wrong with the bass which I've had for 7 or 8 years but just fancy a change and it's coincided with a recently diagnosed frozen left shoulder which I've struggled with reaching the 1st and 2nd fret. It's been a great guitar, been regularly gigged and is in good to great condition, save for a couple of minor dings (in the pictures) and a little usual tarnishing of the gold hardware due to it's age. A quality instrument which has never let me down. Mods include replacing the boost only TonePump with an EMG BQC system to give sweepable mids. I've also installed a Hipshot D-Tuner. The upgraded electronics can run at 18v (with to 9vs) or 24v (using a mod i've done to use two MN21 12vs). This means there's LOADS of headroom for the EMGs, making it sound absolutely epic. Looking ideally for cash but I am open to trades. Ideally a Stingray/MM 5 or 4 but possibly other things. Hit me up, can only say no. Preferred pickup/meet from the Midlands or thereabouts. £900 OR TRADES TO THE VALUE OF Cheers Tony
