2. Hi Guys, I am selling my Elwood 5 here if anyone is interested: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/278909-fs-maruszczyk-elwood-l-5a-maple-burl-custom/ Got too many 5 strings and would like to order a Jake 4. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Thanks
3. Thanks for the kind comments people. It is indeed a great bass, sadly I found myself with too many 5 string and not a single 4 string and this one is the only bass I could sell (the others all have sentimental value) to fund the Jake. But it will definitely be for another Maruszczyk 4 string.
4. It is a great bass and a lot of bass for the money, you are more than welcomed to come try it if you wish! Pm me if you have any questions.
5. SOLD!!!!!! Hi everyone!! I am regrettably selling my magnificent Maruszczyk Elwood L 5a Maple Burl Custom. The bass was purchased new from Adrian less than a year ago and it is mint, not a single mark. I paid £1200 as I upgraded the bridge for the Marsuzczyk ETS bridge so £900 is a fair price for a bass less than a year old and as good looking as this one, The bass is super versatile and is equipped with the "Music Man" like Haeussel humbucker and a Haeussel jazz on the neck. It is active with a passive switch and a series/Single coil/parallel toggle, which means you can make it sound like anything you want. The Glockenklang preamp is one of the cleanest and meanest I have heard, it is trully German engineering at its best. It has an alder body with a Maple burl top and matching headstock and a beautiful birds eye maple fingerboard. For those not familiar with Maruszczyk, they are designed by Adrian Maruszczyk in Germany and built in his workshop in Poland, using top grade woods and electronics. Feel free to read what owners have to say about his basses here: http://basschat.co.u...aruszczyk-club/ You can read the full specs for the bass here: http://www.public-pe...rl-custom140302 Body: alder with maple burl top and resonance hollows Neck: hard rock maple, matched headstock Fingerboard: birds eye maple, 21 frets Nut width: 45mm Construction: bolt on Pickups: Haeussel humbucker + single coil with 1 mini switch (serial/single coil/parallel) Electronics: active 2-band Glockenklang - volume(active/passive push/pull switch), balance, bass, treble/passive tone blend Finish: natural, body/neck matte Hardware: Wilkinson Ultralite machine heads, Maruszczyk ETS bridge, 19mm spacing. incl. Gigbag The bass comes with a Maruszczyk gig bag.The price includes shipping within the UK via UPS. I work in the musical instruments industry so I know how to ship an Instrument safely. If you have any questions or need some more pictures please do let me know. Sale only, no trades please. 6. Would you be happy to accept trade ins for this bass, and if so what sort of bass are you looking for? Thanks

8.
hehehe, how i understand you Well, for me exist good news. After almost 3 months, mine arrives tuesday Unfortunatly, with musikmesse, it took 1 week more. But.. by the picture Adrian sent me, i'm very happy with the final result.. now lets hope it will sound has good as it looks @Mike2tone: What strap do you have on that picture? It looks good. I'm thinking of buying a new one.
It is this one: http://www.public-peace.de/index.php/accessories/straps/maruszczyk-instruments/1043-pes40-retro Probably one of the most comfortable straps I have used. Worth the money and very good quality.
9. Well mine arrived yesterday and I cannot put it down. Well balanced and a very comfortable neck (More comfortable then my Jabba Custom). The preamp is very clean (does not get muddy) and very precise, not too bright but definitely modern. The humbucker almost acts as a ramp which takes a bit to get used to it, but sound wise it is a Music Man style and it nails it. The Series/SC/Parallel switch produces some interesting sounds. I'm yet to get used to it but found some sweet spots on active an passive mode which got me very impressed. I play anything form Latin to Reggae and Fusion (badly!!) and so far all bases covered. Very happy man.
10. Have a BUMP for such a nice bass. Shame you did not get on with it.
11. Ah yes that was me asking Steve. was just curious as there were quite a few persons asking him for photos. Doug really killed it for me, and that morning session of Yolanda and Federico was amazing. I can't never compliment you enough on your choice of footwear!
12. The problem for big manufacturers is that the Bass show is in between the 2 main trade shows, NAMM and Messe. As you can imagine this is not cheap for any company to do so I guess they prioritise where the big money is. There was a year with Ibanez, Warwick and Fender and it did give it a more Pro feel to the show, however I personally, because I work in the industry, get to test their instruments in a daily basses so I am more for smaller builders of good quality products like the people who come to exhibit at the show. It is easy to walk into most music shops and find Fender and Ibanez basses but how often can you find a Sadowsky, Dingwall, Pedulla..etc. Thanks to the show I fell in love with ACG basses a few years ago and I bought one, and now I got to meet Adrian Maruszczyk and found his basses to be amazing and great value for money, so I ordered one and sold my Fender jazz to order one of his Jazz basses. To me there is something more special about an instrument being built in a small workshop where a handful of people work for the love of building musical instruments and not because they need a job like most people who work in the factories of the bigger companies! you get my point haha..
13. Pictures!!! Mine should be here on Monday. I had Adrian change the bridge so it took a bit longer.
14.
aaaaah, it's a secret! A Jake P/JJ with very slight differences from the one in stock I was looking at, but they are differences that will make me like it that much more. I'll post pictures in about 11 weeks
Niceee! Can't wait for mine and then I'll order a 4 strings Jake.
15. Yes the Elwood! Nitro finish is a plus for me. Those Delano are very tasty pups as well. I got some similar in my Jabba.
16. Yeah absolutely! I know what you mean about the tops, I got more classic colours covered with more traditional brands, and I like what independent manufactures do with rare woods like my mayones on my icon, so I loved this one when I saw it, plus the specs.
17. Right mine has been ordered, could not resist when I saw this: http://www.public-peace.de/index.php/bass-guitars/maruszczyk/elwood/5-string/1409-elwood-l-5a-mapl.e-burl-custom140302 It should be here next week! Very excited, yet again I am a sucker for Polish basses!
18. In that case, even at that price you can't go wrong. When you think you'd pay that and more for a production line Far East import, a hand made in Europe instrument by people with over 30 years experience building them, is not a bad deal. Also helps the Euro is cheap at the moment. I will order one eventually, for the time being I got a 5 week old daughter that needs my attention!
