1. Thanks for the help. The controls are volume, 3 way pick up selector, treble cut/boost and bass cut/boost. The neck pocket and neck are pictured below. Thanks, Tom
2. Hi everyone, Hope everyone is having a nice day. I recently got this bass cheap and was wondering if anyone knew what model is was as I cannot seem to find anything online about it. As far as I know it was produced 1991-1992. but apart from that I have not been able to find anything else. I'm sure I am probably being daft but any knowledge would be appreciated. Many thanks, Tom
3.
I've wanted to make a bitsa that looked like a Fender jaguar but wasn't like the stock one - what have you modified to yours?
Hi, My bitsa jag is fairly conventional. the body is just a regular Japanese jaguar bass in hot rod red, with a badass bridge and a Seymour Duncan Quarter-pounder. The Neck is an all parts regular jazz neck with just plain dots and I painted the headstock to match. I think it is a somewhat unique bass but in all honesty I still think regular jaguar basses with blocks look better.
4. Hey everyone, I was just wondering what people thought of bitsa basses. I have a couple and l love modifying them every once in a while. Mine are below. Would they be able to sell? or are they just a personal thing. Also wondering if anyone has a cool idea that I could have a go at?
5. Hi everyone, I have a bitsa bass which the body is a MIJ jaguar body with the active/passive circuit. On passive the bass functions fine all the appropriate knobs function. When on Active the bass has a small to indistinguishable output and buzzez (like a fuzz pedal) so it's unplayable on active. I have checked the obvious battery change to no avail. Re soldered the battery compartment checked the wiring, anyone else had an issue like this, the Jag is amazingly complicated so I might be missing something. Many thanks anyway, Tom
6. Price: £750 + 20 for courier This is a JB66B jazz bass bought from the forum at Christmas last year. The bass is in immaculate condition and I'm selling due to funds being needed. This bass is absolutely spotless, and has been kept in its soft case on a bass rack for the last couple of months, meaning there are not dings or spots to worry about. I believe that this bass was a Fender Special reissue of a 66 jazz bass (admittedly without the dots and lollipop tuners) however it is superbly crafted in Japan which has amazing durability and sound. I remember reading somewhere that there were not too many of these basses even made (If anyone knows please post below). The feel and finish is amazing which has a classical feel of many older basses. Specs: 34 Inch scale Two vintage jazz bass pick-ups with regular Vol/Vol/Tone control U- Shaped neck 7.25 neck radius. Perloid inlays and white binding. Long style tuners. Grooved bridge saddles. Vintage frets. Matching headstock In summary a superb and stunning looking bass (in my oppinion). I have been selling on ebay for a while with 100% feedback, please check it out for reassurance: thogibb_0ojwo I am happy to post and will pack the bass extremely well (A peavey box within a fender box, with added bubble wrap etc). Also happy to trade, Would consider a Jazz/jaguar bass of the same price (Particularly deluxe's), or anything else really. Many thanks, Tom

10. Hi Tina, condolences. Do you know any dimensions of the bass neck, in particular the neck radius. Or if anyone else might have an idea? Many thanks.
11. Hi everybody. Thanks for the interest, the bass is now sold. Thanks.
12. Mexican Fender Jazz Bass 70's RI classic with bound rosewood fret board and block inlays. Price: £400 including shipping and case. This is a well made Mexican 70's RI classic Jazz Bass which builds upon the standard Mexican Jazz bass with an upgraded fret board and upgraded pickups. The Neck is a thin c shaped neck with binding allowing for fast transitions between playing positions. The pickups have a good amount of gruff to them without compromising in the upper register of the bass. Main features of this model include: - Bound neck with block inlays - Bullet style truss rod nut - 2x volume 1x master tone - Ashtray(S) installed well. - 70's style tone from the duel neck and bridge pickups. There is signs of wear around the body but the neck is very smooth, frets have extremely little wear. the only two major dinks are on the underside of the head stock however it is almost invisible and on the rear of the arm rest. Photo included. The case and shipping are included in the price. Pickup is also welcome(west sussex). New fender original strings have also been installed. A good bass for a fair price. Trades: 4x10 cab or j style bass. but mainly cash. phone number: 07949979830 feel free to call or PM. Many thanks, Please feel free to call or pm for questions/ more pictures etc. Thanks, Tom
