You're crazy
I love your crazy bass ideas. :) All that pointiness is not for me but they look cool.

Haha, yeah. It takes an eccentric to play the pointyness.

Don't tempt me but I'm contemplating a Fretless Speesy with F holes in the future!

Just paid for it, here's hoping it gets sent out tomorrow!

Another fantastic V - love the matching headstock too!

I wasn't sure what the response would be, but so far it's positive

I'm glad other people like it.

Just can't wait to sit down with it and play it.

3. Not really relevant, but I've had Adrian copy the neck on my Harris with my 32" Speesys, my first one plays so similar to it I might get rid of the Harris!
Adrian's guys have attention to detail, they do really good work.

Your wish is granted!

Suitably Cheap Trick and suitably bonkers!

These are a couple I had fun with, a modern 4 and a trad 5.....didn't make a note of the prices though:

As I said in the group.

Yum.

6. So a five string Jake is costing me less than my four string Jake build from a couple of years ago, I've got no idea how that works.

Can't decide whether I want the White one with Gold hardware or the Red one I came up with with a Humbucker in it.

Same price too!

So the 48's pups are housed in the metal casing.

The neck pick up is generally a split coil and the bridge an M, so essentially a VM4 in another body, however I had an online chat with Marc at Chicago Music Exchange and he was involved in designing these basses and he mentioned them having 2 massive buckers.

I think if you get a used one look carefully, but also if you go for a new one you may be able to choose your combination as well as finish, ageing, treatment etc

That's interesting cause I'm seeing some of them on the Bass Direct site saying they have TT pickups, I wonder how true that is...

I'll send them an email when I'm looking to buy!

Me too. I would love a 48 5 string. I have never tried one, but having tried a sandberg 5 string I know the neck would be far too big for me and it would be far too expensive. Doesn't stop me wanting one. Maybe I could get a 48 - 4 string one day as a compromise.

The issue for me with them is pickups... They don't all come with a Split Coil/Humbucker. So I'm having a hard time deciding :D

9. Transferwise is an ace thing too use, I use the app on my phone to transfer money to Adrian.

Very quick and highly recommended.

Had an email regarding the back of mine, I don't think it'll be that far off, give or take a couple of weeks.

Which is good as my band is going into the studio soon!
