That (those) are VERY nice!
I am the proud owner of a similar shaped axe (Epi Explorer), which I love
Case wise.....mine came with an appropriately shaped Warwick RockBag, which it fit in easily.....so that might be another option......if you can find one.....
What are the controls.....?Thanks for the heads up!
It's a Vol/Blend

Sorry for the delay in replying, been manic!
When I had the CTM100 I hugged it with either one or two Barefaced Super Compact cabs or an Ashdown VS212. All these cabs are quite efficient, but I never had a completely clean tone (nor was I aiming for one). Two Super Compacts was the best though in terms of volume and clarity and I would dearly love to have that rig again. One day maybe...
I just want to chip in and say I used to run my CTM100 with a Barefaced SC, I completely agree with Merton on his experiences.

Lovely.
I was hoping to order one very soon.
Threads like this are not helping though, might order one even earlier than intended.

I've just realized I haven't posted my NBD's on here yet, but I got some basses from the fine folks at Boult (Chris is great to deal with) I've not got pics of the headstock yet, but I will do when I get back home. Had it for a couple of weeks, requires a setup (I just like to do my own on every instrument I have) but the neck is insanely comfortable and it sounds nice and punchy.
I still need a case for it, I've found Thomann do a case for this kind of shape that's pretty reasonable (£25 including shipping) I'm going to give it a go and see if it fits.
Can't wait to gig this one. Thanks for the help with images Ped

All Hail The Yeti - I saw these guys supporting 36 Crazy fists the other week, cracking set, loads of energy and nice guys to boot. They took the time to chat with me and signed my CD....yeah I know - I'm too old to be acting like a teenager but sod it - their bass player was spot on!
They have become a favourite on my running playlist. All
Sounds like the perfect support for 36 Crazy Fists!

+1 Basschat looks great now.

One of the bands I've recently booked has just put out an EP, I like it a lot, very theatrical... Reminds me of Alice Cooper in lyrical content, certainly more hard rock than metal and for some reason, the verses of the first track sound like they could be part of an Industrial album (KMFDM, etc) at least the drums do, it's also insanely accessible which is partially the reason for the booking.
but it works for me.
What are you guys checking out right now? Always wanting to hear more music!

@Fisheth, chorus built in?! How...?
I'm not sure, but it sounded great and you could change the rate/depth etc from the back of the bass

Yes indeed. Though the Roadworn series are superb basses IMO and the relicing does look great
But as you say, each Limelight has slightly different relciing. You can specify the amount of relicing when you order one, but even 2 people specifying the same "level" of relicing will get slight differences
The relicing on my Limelight is absolutely superb, I must sayGoing to get some pictures back of the other colours I was interested in, then I'll order them. I was contemplating doing a B&B Precision, but on second thoughts, that would be immensely wrong.

You seem to be suffering with a pretty bad case of GAS lately
I'd be the first one to admit that!

A bit more expensive than what I was hoping for £950 , but I've asked to see examples of Burgandy Mist and Sherwood Green as I couldn't find those on the gallery, but it looks like BM may win out based on the Jazzes I've seen

I’ve pre ordered a 500w combo, 250w powered extension cab plus foot switch. Should arrive may/June.
I know I've bashed Blackstar in the thread, but I love the idea of a cab that can give you an extra 250 watts and then it stacks with each additional cab.
That is trouser flapping cool.

The Lakland J-Sonic's are really cool if you're looking at a 35 scale

Sent an email regarding a Limelight... Struggling to decided between Shoreline Gold, Sherwood Green and LPB...
They all look delightful.

Deposit is usually £200.
Cool, depends on the wait time if I can order straight away, if not it'll have to be the end of March/start of April before I can do it.
But going through the limelight thread there's a lot of groovy basses.
This example in this thread is a stunner though!

Both pickups are Limelight's own. I'd heard their pickups before, and was well pleased with what I'd heard
I believe they are hand-wound. The certainly sound the biz anywayYes, depending on what you want, they are around £850 - just under £1K I believe. Mark will give you a quote on what you're after
And yes, though they aren't '63 RI's - they are less than one, and I think you'd be hard pressed to beat them IMHO
As Mr discreet says, you could wait for one to come up second-hand on the marketplace here, if you wanted to save a bit of cash....
You could always sell it on again, if it doesn't quite meet all your needs (you'd likely get your money back, as they seem to sell for a consistent sort of price)
I really should have bought the one FuNkShUi was selling some time back, as I liked it so much
I waited for another Fiesta Red P to come up, and a couple did (one very recently) but I always seemed to miss them, as they went quickly...
That said, I'm glad I got mine P/J'ed as I'm really sold on that pickup arrangement (and it's something I wouldn't dare do to a '63 AVRI)I'm going to send a cheeky email to them now, you might find some of my basses for sale sooner rather than later though!
Email sent about a 63 spec'd bass. Hopefully Lake Placid Blue, I've looked at some of the other bass companies but nobody does a colour like the big F LPB. So hopefully it'll be doable.
I'm guessing no here, but would they do one as a 5er?

If you set your budget at around £1k youll be more or less in the ballpark so to speak, by and large, all things being equal, give or take.
Oooft, that's a lot more than I have right now.
Still less than a 63 RI though!
However, do they work on a deposit scheme basis?
-
I've always wanted one of those, what do their prices start at?
-
I've never found a bass in which I've hated the body shape, maybe some of the things Schecter put out, but I'm really indifferent on them.
One thing that I'm not keen on though is singularly black basses

I didn't know
I didn't know Rod personally, but I know people who did. He seemed very genuine and one of the nicest guys out there.
In fact, I was going to audition for one of his bands once, but I wasn't able to audition due to other commitments.
I'm really glad to hear that it was a success.
