@mcnach - glad it's all working out! You're right - adjusting pup height has a pretty big impact and is also such an easy / no cost adjustment to make.

If anyone prefers the possibility of a 5er...

Where can I get one in the UK?

In reply to paulwarning i paid the princely sum of £100.00.i would thoroughly recommend martin at stoneham.ill be taking my other trace head in for an overhaul very soon

Sorry to hijack the thread a bit, I've had numerous bits of gear back from Martin, he's been spot on and reasonably priced everytime (Especially when my SVT burned it's caps out)

Very interested in the TE discussion as they're now back.

Having bought one and used one and carried one upstairs to practice rooms and gigs i can honestly say they are worth much more than they used to cost anyway and a price hike wouldnt put me off buying another.

They certainly do punch above their weight. Great cabs and I'm happy to be a user for 3+ years.

Just look at any promotional material for the CTM15. Videos on YouTube of Mr Gooday himself using the "All Tube" line included.

The guitar world should also be aware that the Hayden Mini Mofo 15 is also marketed the same way. The eagle eyed will note that in the above pic, the Mini Mofo is built on the same PCB... So... Yeah, but no...

I should have clarified, I was after anything that contradicted the all-tube claim, I can't find any schematics or anyone discussing this, sure there looks to be SS stuff in that picture, I just want to know what they've put in it that's SS. I think I have an idea but just want some clarity on it

It's not. I'm in entire agreement with you. But what IS wrong is to market it to the unsuspecting as an ALL VALVE amp. I have one and like it, but it pisses me off that a company like Ashdown has to stoop so low.

In the guitar world a company did exactly this, Ultimate-GUitar found and the end result was an entire forum no longer recommends that company for anyone. I find it hard to recommend them also.

I can't seem to find anything on this on BC or on the wider web about it. Got a link?

Ah, just clicked... that's the Sherwood Green, yes? At first I thought it was aged LPB...

Yeah, when I said that I couldn't decide on my FB people were mentioning "purple"

It doesn't look that purple, does it? I'm slightly colorblind so I can't really tell, haha!
